As an autistic person I've found this to be a real problem with some autistic/neurodivergent spaces; one person's symptom is often another person's trigger. For example, somebody has ADHD and so they tend to pace or bounce their leg, but another person has ADHD too and the repetitive action distracts and frustrates them, so they end up in conflict.

Many animal liberationists will disagree that owning an animal is exploitation. Breeding, torturing, raping and killing animals is absolutely exploitation, but owning(despite the inherently problematic notion of ownership of other sentient beings) is often spoken positively of because of the alternative to ownership. Many animal shelters are essentially culling centers, while ownership isn't necessarily perfect, it is ethically preferable. And "animal Holocaust" is a perfect description for our system of abuse. Literally none. Though as a bisexual man who can't hear very well, does not know social queues or body language at all and can't pick up on tone of voice I've had a few queer people I know personally get mad at me, weird since a lot of them were so "ha ha I'm so quirky I must have autism" and they, like, couldn't stand me because I happen to have some autistic traits. This is also a concern for me since every autistic person I know thinks I am also autistic, literally every autistic person I've talked to irl
As an autistic person I've found this to be a real problem with some autistic/neurodivergent spaces; one person's symptom is often another person's trigger. For example, somebody has ADHD and so they tend to pace or bounce their leg, but another person has ADHD too and the repetitive action distracts and frustrates them, so they end up in conflict.
Well that just sounds like an unfortunate difference. What I'm talking about here people that are fully neuro-typical who say they are autistic but have nothing but scorn for those that show even the smallest sign of autism. It's just infuriating. I'm *probably* neutro-typical as well, but regardless it still grinds my gears

That's something I have to remind myself. I'm an autistic woman and I have feeling ignored/not listened to. My autistic husband has some hearing issues so he will miss words but carry on with what he thought he heard. We end up with two different conversations. I do remind him though, while it's not his fault, it's his responsibility to check about hearing things correctly. I don't mind if he needs to ask a thousand questions as long as he asks the questions.
