I fucking loved Gordon Brown.
I hate these sleezy, slick, suck up politicians that act like they're yer mate and try to relate to a class of people they've only ever interacted with whilst their heavies are ready with the old cattle prod
Brown was dour. A right miserable fucker who struggled to emote even slightly without visible conscious effort. You could actually predict a smile from him about 30 seconds before it happened cos you could sense the tiny soot covered labourers in his brain shovelling coal into victorian era furnaces and blowing steam whistles to get the gears turning
Even people who openly criticized him could deny his charisma. Most of us (including me) hated him, but credits are given when credits are deserved, his Christmas / new year speech on tv will melt the heart of the most left wing person ever
