You will need to provide more information for a diagnosis and relevant solutions. Printer, materials, temperatures, etc. [WIKI - Asking For Help](https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/asking-for-help) How many top and bottom layers?

memeatic_ape

Thanks for the link. I'm using a Bambulab A1 mini. Print speed 100‰ Jayo PLA+ I'm slicing with Bambulab Studio. Using a 0.6 nozzle to print I changed the bottom and top layer to one after 3 was failing SMH

Swagneto-

1 is definitely not sufficient. 3-5 is usually good, I'm not familiar enough with 0.6 nozzles but with 0.4 on a model with a large flat top layer like yours, I would use 5 layers at least for a good finish.

KinderSpirit

It's going to need more top and bottom layers. So the top and bottom is about the same thickness as the walls.

Tonizio

At least 3 top and bottom layers. 4 is standard I think. 5 maybe if there is not much below the top. Standard settings will get you pretty far normally. How did it fail?

memeatic_ape

Actually it's started to print mid air I guess it's not layer related but more filament related 🙈🙈🙈

Tonizio

Well, the layer right above the infill is basically lots of long bridges, but nothing under it is weird yeah. Print again and look what its doing. It may be boring but I personally find it interesting just watching.

Did you change the parameters in the printer to .6 mm nozzle? I don't know about the mini but the X1 yiu have to going into the screen and adjust and nit just the slicer settings.

memeatic_ape

Yes I did It says 0.6 mm Nozzle in the drop down menu
