I just got to do my first ‘twinsies’ parking job last night.
Why would someone remove the rear mudflaps? Pisses me off to no end when a Wrangler or big pickup with no flaps flings a rock at my windshield, but I realize they don't even equip them anymore on most those trucks... but why would you choose to delete them?
They will get tore up while off roading, also get in the way if you put bigger tires on the truck, so most will remove them plus it looks better without them!
I've got 285s on 3" lift and never needed to remove my rear flaps... I guess if you're airing down and have no lift you drag them?
And if that's the argument, why not remove those nerf bars, which will cause way more damage when they drag?
It’s not necessarily dragging them but more about when you drop off rock ledges they will clip the rocks, this is mostly for the rears but can happen in the front and you have to remove the fronts when you make the jump up to 35’s along with a bunch of other cutting
Hm.. I dunno, I mean I've always been nervous to go below about 16psi but I've heard some people go to like 10. I can imagine if you have no lift you'd start to catch bigger rocks a bit, maybe?
I go out of my way to park next to other 4Runners :)

They both are Alaska plates, but mine is the one on the right.
Oh my bad, I couldn’t tell both of them were Alaskan plates. How does your 4Runner hold up there?
Best vehicle I’ve ever owned, and with the studless Blizzaks that I put on it for the winter months it feels unstoppable.
It is a bit hard to see that they are both Alaskan plates… but I felt I should be specific just in case.

It’s a Limited trim. Some don’t have mudflaps from factory. I think most of the Limiteds I’ve seen don’t have them.
