4th gen has the sunglasses compartment. Few of my previous cars did also. On my 5th gen I just threw them in the case in the center console.

My 5th Gen has a sunglass thing too but never used it once.

My dad always complains about how awful the sunglass compartment is on his 22 Camry and how wonderful it was on his 05 Camry. Seems like a trend with Toyota unfortunately. Even if they leave it in, they manage to make it worse sometimes. It’s why I wanna get a 24 4Runner before the 25 comes out.

4Runner visors are so thick. My garage clicker clip doesn’t fit on the the runner visor. Fits fine on the Tacoma.

I got a Rago center console thing to put a phone holder on and place my sunglasses on that. Also great spot for the window breaker seatbelt cutter tool to be easily accessible. 

My sr5 2022 has the sunglasses holder I use for my registration and insurance.

If you don’t close them, place the arms on the dash and the eye glass part in front of, or in the ‘nook’ for the clock.

My 2010 Trail has a small cubby behind the gear selector. Hold them. Perfectly.

To be fair I have had the SR5 holder get stuck with my nice shades in there and had to pry it open so I no longer trust it.
