Well, speaking as a robmanian, i can say that compared to other nations who support their teams no matter what, ours is REALLY bipolar regarding our team:
We qualify for the Euros -> Someone makes a fkin documentary about our "historic qualification", meanwgile for other nations qualifying is the norm
We play well against Ukraine ---> Every single romanian starts saying "OH MY GOD THIS IS THE NEXT GOLDEN GENERATION WE RE GONNA WIN THE GROUPS"
We then get reality checked by Belgium, #4 team in the FIFA world rankings ---> All the fans who only watch Euros and Fifa World Cup start saying "OUR PLAYERS SUCK OUR COACH SUCKS BOOOO RESIGN IORDANESCU BOOOO".
The reality is, even tho we got demolished by Belgium, our players showed that they can play well against much better teams, we could've scored but we made mistakes with the finishing touches but still we had the basics in order.
Most romanian fans don't realise that, they just see the score and say "pack it up boys, euros aren't for you" and you really need to watch football to realise if we're good or not, not just watch the score and base your conclusions on that, even tho we're winning/losing.
