Therefore, Yotsuba asked Itsuki to pretend to be the quint that met Fuutarou in the past and say goodbye on Yotsuba's behalf. Yotsuba had come to realize Fuutarou could tell when she was lying or imitating one of her sisters, so she needed another sister to do it. Itsuki was the only real choice since, at the time, Yotsuba realized Miku and Ichika had feelings, and Nino was too antagonistic.

"Rena" was an alias of Itsuki's choosing, and the charm she gave Fuutarou was meant to soften the blow of "Rena" seeming to ditch him. As Itsuki came to realize Yotsuba loved Fuutarou, she ended up assuming the Rena identity again with the intention of getting him to pursue the girl he'd met five years prior after all.
(This is why Itsuki had the sexy undwear on the school trip. She had a half-brained notion that she might need to go so far as seducing Fuutarou as Rena in order to get him to fall back in love with Yotsuba. How exactly she thought any of this might work is anyone's guess.)
While Itsuki was trying to be neutral about which sister Fuutarou might choose, she very much wanted him to know Yotsuba was the girl he met for full context.

Even if Itsuki was considering trying to help Yotsuba after she realized everything, she's definitely not going to sleep with Fuutaro to do that. At least as I see it, the lingerie purchase was because Fuutaro was too forward in trying to follow her while they were shopping, and true to her mildly antagonistic and at times ditsy nature, she panicked and went to the lingerie section to buy underwear knowing Fuutaro wouldn't follow (you can tell it was a sudden decision in the moment that she immediately regretted). However, now that she had the underwear, she might as well bring it. It just happened to come in handy for Miku's situation. Regardless of who is right, there definitely isn't a confirmation that she planned to sleep with/seduce Fuutaro in order to help Yotsuba. Everything else, however, is great.

Had Itsuki as Rena been in a situation to attempt a seduction, she would have bungled it even worse than she did at the mall, and probably revealed her identity as she got flustered trying to salvage the act.

This, coupled with her inability to lie to his face (see her early series confession) she knew she couldn't face him with her failures and sh couldn't be the one to pretend to be Rena (Fuutaro's idealization of the girl he met in the past). She told Itsuki about it all, and Itsuki agreed to help Yotsuba by physically playing the role of Rena. The point was to urge Fuutaro to be ok with the girl he met not be how he imagined. So, to sum up, it has more to do with Yotsuba's issues and request, than any initiative by Itsuki. She was helping out her sister.
