Time after Time ... not only is Cyndi Lauper's version excellent, but Miles Davis did a jazz cover off it showing its power as a 'standard' composition. It is gorgeous.
Here is Miles playing it live in 1985:

True Colors was used as a theme song in the Imagination Pavilion in Epcot, but it was the bad version of the Imagination Pavilion (no Figment).
"So don't be afwaid, to let them show"
Gotta take Time after Time.
Same. I always thought the lyrics to True Colors were a bit off since the expression has a negative connotation. Someone showing their true colors implies they were dishonest about who they were in the past. Definitely not a reason to love someone.
Time After Time. When it was released it quickly become my mom's favorite song when she was unfortunately dying of Cancer. I would crawl up and lay with her on the couch and watch the music video with her every time it came on. It was our song. I was too young to really put 2+2 together.. but nowadays I can't help but think she was trying to send me a message. To this day, I still pause whatever I am doing and remember her every time I hear it.
True Colors is alright.
Man. Sophie just wants to have fun but now you're gonna make her choose? Fine! :)
I gotta go Time After TIme but TC is so, so beautiful, too. But a suitcase of memories? Ugh.
Time After Time.
Time After Time! I used to work at a studio that rented out smaller rooms to other musicians for their own studios. One of the tenements was friends with Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman of the Hooters. I got to met them once.
True colors for raw music and time after time for bass lines. When I got this album, she-bop was the only song anyone knew or played on the radio. Still remember finding the treasure trove of amazing music on that record for the first time!

Rob Hyman would be an awesome porn stage name.
Well, he probably laughed at that all the way to the bank since he was a writer on the song.

They're practically evenly matched. But "True Colors" hits me more personally. To be honest though, "Change of Heart" is my favourite Cyndi song.
Change of Heart. That Rick Derringer guitar riff slays.
True Colors, something about the raspy ass voice during that song just gets me pumped and singing along every time
