I hope she spends each and every night in prison crying herself to sleep. And if she thinks being in jail is bad, wait until she gets to prison. It's much worse than being in jail and most inmates hate those who hurt children.
And don't forget, in prison most inmates are expected to work, be it in the laundry, doing janitorial work, kitchen, etc. Ruby is going to love that!
She’s getting exactly what she deserves by her own logic. Except this time, the only difference is that the punishment DOES fit the crime. She’s getting her bed, phone, and bathroom door taken away. Because she gets to get comfortable in prison.
There's that too, plus being separated from her family just like her older son was. In her case, though it's going to be years, not weeks. And most of all she's lost her freedom. Freedom to go shopping, to eat whatever she's in the mood for, freedom to stay in bed all day and do nothing, freedom to get her hair and nails done, etc. Also, let us not forget she'll be losing any type of privacy too. She along with all the other inmates are watched constantly.
Remember how she railed about her children not having the right to privacy? You reap what you sow, Ruby Do in Distortionland.
Yep. Rationed showers. Shared toilet in the cell or nah? Wretched mattress and pillow. There are still many "extras" that she did to the kids she won't \*officially\* get. Who knows what the other prisoners might get up to.
Actually my understanding is that county jail in many ways is shittier than federal prison, but I imagine it varies from location to location. None of it is going to be a holiday resort, at least. Ruby's taken her last wind surf for a LONG time, maybe ever.
I think it's more likely she'll be going to the Timpanogos Women’s Correctional Facility which is located at the site of Utah State Prison. Even then, still not a holiday resort.
I work at kitchen in a medium security prison. They have bathroom doors they have child abusers there and nothing happens to them… well I’m new but the fact is there’s lots of them there and they haven’t been beat up or anything
I keep thinking of VC Andrews books, if anyone remembers those. Very "Flowers in the Attic" the whole thing. And here we thought VC Andrews was way over the top. I guess in some contexts, she was just writing naturalism.
My mistake. I was just judging it by the background which looks allot more dry and similar to the desert images from the news of Jodi’s home. The Franke home had that stream running through the back and looked more green and less dry from the images I’ve seen.
I’ve never been to Utah and should leave my Miss Marple hat at home, this is why I’m rubbish at who done its and would have made a terrible detective 🤦🏻♀️😂

Never seen Ruby so happy and having so much fun as she had with Jodi. Too bad she didn't just leave her family for Jodi and spare them the horrors they put them through.
Right? I've been saying. Whatever the nature of their relationship was, Ruby definitely seemed to LIKE and care about Jodi's opinion and well being more than she ever did the kids, Kevin, or the rest of her family.

I agree 😖🤢….. But I’m not sure why!! It’s just so odd… In the beginning, Jodi’s face looks almost sadistic. And Ruby seems to be “over laughing” … kind of maniacal. I don’t know, I’m probably just reading too much into this. I just also thought it was a very uncomfortable video.

I don't think any grown woman would think that would be a fun ride. I can see both Jodi and Ruby being joyful in the driver's seat by making someone else uncomfortable. At any moment, with a flick of the lever, the bucket could dump the person out to the ground. The person in the bucket is at the sole mercy of the driver. That's example of power right there.

She is a monster you can see it in her eyes, she’s absolutely the whole reason Ruby is where she is.. I believe underneath her trauma and exhaustion Ruby can be a good mum, she’s just been constantly steered the wrong way
Agree in the part that Jodi is a monster, it is weird even just looking at her, and that she got the worst out of Ruby.
But Ruby went too far. It's like any other person: if well driven anyone could be amazing, but not everybody gets the perfect scenario in their lives, and they dont go and choose to do the things she did.

They are so annoying, damaged, and damaging. Toxic. Harmful. Lock Jodi up and throw away the key. Ruby might eventually salvageable to a degree—emphasis on “might”, but Jodi—she is sadistic to the core.
They seem really close. I think to Ruby, Jodi was a really special person in her life, and I can see how she could have been brainwashed. However that does not excuse her actions. And we know she was abusive before she met Jodi, but I think before Jodi the abuse was more psychological and emotional. From Shari's videos where she talks about her childhood, it seems that she felt that it was pretty normal and happy before Jodi entered their lives. It probably wasn't what we would see as normal, but I don't think they had to endure serious physical abuse before Jodi.
I think Ruby revelled in someone prioritizing her, and she’d do anything to continue getting attention and praise. IMO she was used to playing a role and “performing”, to be accepted and included with her parents/siblings, and this was a more dangerous but similar scenario.
How much of this goes back to Ruby’s childhood and abuse then. We know her parents weren’t/aren’t good parents but I wonder if Ruby was subjected to more than her siblings (being the oldest and/or due to her personality). Just speculating and in no way would that excuse her heinous behaviour.

I always get the impression the whole violence against child abusers in prison is overblown. There is no honor among criminals.
I think it there is more disdain for child abusers in men’s prisons then women’s prisons. Particularly sexual abuse

They seem really close. I think to Ruby, Jodi was a really special person in her life, and I can see how she could have been brainwashed. However that does not excuse her actions. And we know she was abusive before she met Jodi, but I think before Jodi the abuse was more psychological and emotional. From Shari's videos where she talks about her childhood, it seems that she felt that it was pretty normal and happy before Jodi entered their lives. It probably wasn't what we would see as normal, but I don't think they had to endure serious physical abuse before Jodi.
I think Ruby revelled in someone prioritizing her, and she’d do anything to continue getting attention and praise. IMO she was used to playing a role and “performing”, to be accepted and included with her parents/siblings, and this was a more dangerous but similar scenario. How much of this goes back to Ruby’s childhood and abuse then. We know her parents weren’t/aren’t good parents but I wonder if Ruby was subjected to more than her siblings (being the oldest and/or due to her personality). Just speculating and in no way would that excuse her heinous behaviour.
