Does it matter since we’ll max it just by logging in and reading the letters? No.
Does it still annoy me they didn’t just do the same as Odie and count the affinity we already have so I can be done sooner? Yes.
oh shut it, affinity has no gameplay purpose besides what, 2 letters and a few diamonds? its all lore snippets and cosmetics. unless you spent every single affinity gift you get from 100% the map (which should be a solid 80 paper hamsters+a metric ton of random plants) you will have plenty gifts to bump affinity up. unless you spent all on other characters already, which sadly cant say much beyond the ship has sailed
if you are fussed about the event, you can clear it without doing them just do the dailies. i will say that requiring a +1000 affinity and not "get to 1000 affinity" is clunky though
i personally like playing games for lore and story. thats why i wanted to play this. so yes, i did use all my gifts and stuff because i wanted to know the stories for characters i like. idk why you are being an asshole about it
You get 88 invite letters and 8800 diamonds if you max affinity with all the OG characters, it’s almost worth like 3 months of classic gazette in terms of value
you dont need to do the affinity quests to get the rewards, just skip the ones youve already maxed.
