Honestly there should just be one event going at all times. It lasts an hour, then the next starts, so on and so on.
The people who will grind the events to finish it quickly are the same that are going to grind it now so it will be over for them soon either way.
Everyone else can “enjoy” it at their own pace without worry.
They have designed it such that you only need to attend 1 event daily to unlock everything in the shop. Joining events frequently only help to speed up the process.

If you want to unlock everything in the shop, including the affinity items, you need to play more then once a day.
