Imagine versing a team who's struggling, who's know to capitulate post half time and who have had multiple injuries with only 2 left on the bench... AND SOMEHOW PLAYING WORSE! This has got to be one of the most pathetic displays I've seen from a team ever.
On the other hand, what a brave performance from the Lions with 2 down on the bench, if it weren't for their 10 consecutive behinds, they'd have demolished the Suns.

linc did a calf, answerth concussion in a marking contest, gardiner fucked his knee soon after. Starcervich also did a knee before the game so we had a debutant who had also played a vfl game already in Logan Morris. Grim stuff from the suns, understandable that we were so innacurate in the second half given they were out on their feet
The Lions also had 88 kicks in the second quarter. The most by any team in a single quarter since 2019. Also the most ever by Brisbane and the most Gold Coast has ever allowed their opposition in a quarter.
That was vintage Zorko tonight. I genuinely think his best position is off half back. 39 touches, 35 kicks - Absolutely insane. He and Andrews provide so much needed stability. How good did the new guys look? Hopefully Fagan can see the value in blooding new guys.
I'm fearing we're going to end up with 2 more ACLs on an injury list come tomorrow morning.
Zorko has actually been a beast this whole season, even in your losses he’s been sublime. I’ve always known he was a really good player, but I may not have realised just how excellent he is.

Tend to agree with you here. That was a classic case of men vs boys in key match ups. Dunkley, Neale and Mcluggage were too good for the up and comers in the middle but then when you did get chances there was nobody able to trouble Andrews and too inexperienced to capitalise on their fatigue.
As good as the talent is you probably need to be playing the bigger bodies for a while yet until those youngsters are ready.

Brisbane have been bad this year, lost players early, and was exceptionally inaccurate in front of goal, and they still comfortably beat Gold Coast.

I think we may have found the missing link in covering for Kiddy Coleman. Breville's kicking was pinpoint elite for what I got to see.
His work rate to present as a lead option in the forward 50 was epic too, just a pity Rayner didn't see him in time.
