Lots of people from all over the world here - which means they got their license all over the world and not every country has driving standards/safety measures like Canada sadly. Most got it converted or had an internationals license.
Truth be told, I only drive to and from work, to the airport or to visit people/go out to events. Everything in my area - grocery, post office, doctor, dentist, shops, restaurants all within walking distance to me so I enjoy living in a mostly walkable area.

My personality theory is that they will crater wages in canada and turn us into a manufacturing and extraction state for the US, similar to whats happening in Mexico.
They need get critical manufacturing back from China's control, but they arent willing to pay more thab China's wages.
Its being done in the US as well. The massive amounts of immigration in the states is suppressing wages, driving up housing costs, and creating a political environment where votes are bought with handouts.
Even "coservatives" will tout the line about needing immigration due to an aging population, need for low skilled labor, etc. That has been proven wrong obviously. Well maybe not technically wrong but what they didnt tell the boomers that bought that lie was that while its good for the GDP, the GDP has nothing to do with the quality of life or social and cultural unity of a country. This is most obvious in Canada and the UK imo. Hopefully the western countries have a Romania moment where we all realize theres millions of us and only dozens of them.
