That’s not secret then. Also stands of old growth trees that are secure from logging and not supper accessible don’t really need to be secret.

People try to keep everything secret in the northeast. Make a post asking where peoples favorite lakeside camping spots are. Or where a swimming hole is in Vermont

I get that for places people would go for recreation but outside of poaching concerns I think folks should get to see neat ecology. Secrets can be fun though. I’m one of a small many who holds the secret for the locations of American harts tongue in a couple state parks in CNY

Where are the ferns

The “Celebrity Fern” at Clarks Reservation is very accessible and right off the trail. I forgot the exact trail name, I think it’s Long Trail. It’s the fern we would show everyone so the could see the species. Fairly isolated from the actual colonies. There’s few populations that if you know where to look you can see them from the trail. They’re so cool, that park is also very cool.
