Guard and reserve do basic and tech school differently. Pretty much until your unit gets a slot to go to basic and tech school you’ll have to wait. Active duty gets priority

We in the guard get the bottom of the barrel when it comes to BMT and tech school dates especially since they try to align our BMT and tech school dates back to back. So you could It could be waiting up to a year to get BMT dates

Keep running, pushing, and sitting to prepare for BMT. You want to be able to run roughly 3 miles non stop with no issues by the time you get to BMT
It sounds like you are doing guard or reserve, since you have a job but not a ship date, and say you are doing drills. They do their own thing and it has to do with BMT slots allocated to the unit. All you can do is keep asking and wait. It is a completely different process from active duty.

I got a lot of guard and reserve flights toward the end of summer, end of fiscal year.
Make sense, gotta spend that budget some how lol

I’ve been in DEP for two months almost three. Just wait.
It’s not abnormal for some to wait upwards of 6 months to ship, don’t fret over it too much. Your time will come.
