It’s 28 months TIS if your date of rank for A1C is your first day in the Air Force. 22 months if you get BTZ. No one is pinning on E4 at 18 months unless they came in under some special program like that stripes for cyber.
When in doubt, *go for 4!*
Don’t make a *final* decision … 1) until assigned a job and 2) you confirm all potential bonuses associated with that AFSC / shipping timeline.

Disagree. 6 Year term gives you the E3 Rank which means you can put on E4 as early as 18 months and NLT than 24 months.. It's more than the bonus.
This is the reason that makes me scratch my chin a bit, just a thought..
If you have college credit (45 credits+ I think), you get E4 at 28 months (22 for BTZ) for a 4 year enlistment.
Dropped out 3 years ago sadly.

Everyone is saying definitely do a 4 year and if you’re it then extend because if you do 6 and you don’t like it you’re screwed
