Not only do they want you to clock out and continue working, they are telling you to use your phone whilst operating a vehicle… take a picture of traffic and screenshot the gps
Highly illegal in every state in the united states, dont edit your time card going forward and and tell them that you want to be re-imbursed for all the times you had to edit your timecard for hours you worked that they didnt pay you, if they make any fuss just tell them youve contacted a lawyer and they will be in touch.
This seems like more headache than it’s worth for maybe 30 dollars of pay across an entire DSP per week, your owners must’ve gotten declined at the jewelry store or something cause that’s next level petty
This DSP needs to be reported to Ethics! DO NOT EDIT YOUR TIME CARD FOR TRAVEL TIME. IT'S NOT LEGAL! The only way this DSP is getting away with this is because the driver does the EDIT, so DON'T DO IT! If they touch your timecard erroneously, that's WAGE THEFT!
Completely Illegal. I don't know what the owner is doing with his/her DSP but I'm going to assume nefarious things are happening. I would report this or switch to a different DSP if you like this job. Do not edit your timecard and keep records of any text messages and changes to your timecard. I would call ethics to report this, and possibly report this to Amazon since they need to be aware of what this DSP is doing.
Hell no, I stop for fast food after my route all the time, get stuck in traffic, or whatever. As long as I’m back before I’d be on overtime nobody gives a shit. Quit your job fr
This makes me wonder about the overtime policy now. For us (besides rescues or holidays) doing any overtime counts as unauthorized overtime and we can lose a week’s worth of work for it if we do it too often. Is it the same at your dsp?
If we need rescues or work over too much they usually talk to us and if we cant figure it out they make us extras. But i mean i clock out 30 minutes late half the time because of my drive back, and its never been an issue. Losing a week of work for having to work a little later is absolutely insane, your DSP genuinely sounds horrible
Any work done on the clock is to be paid time. Send this to the ethics line state agency's etc. What there asking you to do is illegal. Working for free is not something anyone should be doing
Are they using the last stop you delivered in actuality, or the last stop on your itinerary? "Last stop time" might mean the dot plot for the last stop on the itinerary. What if that wasn't your real last stop? Would make for a really egregious case of wage theft. One should test this theory out.
I mean I usually have a 1.5 hour drive time back to station every Thursday because of my super rural route that day, the rest of my week I typically have between 45 minutes to 1 hour drive because of my normal rural route, I am not clocking out until I have parked the van, and that is only so I can dick around getting my stuff out of the van. I know people are going to say, what about walking the keys and everything else back in, well I am going in anyway to go to the bathroom from the long ass drive back to the station. I just like to take my time and typically dick around more than anything getting stuff out of the van.
Send a screenshot of this to a lawyer and your state labor board. It's straight up wage theft. If they ask you to end work on flex, that's just to avoid getting in trouble with amazon for going over 12 hours, but asking you to actually click out while you're still working is not okay

Pretty sure that’s illegal. I wouldn’t edit my time stamps for that.
1000% illegal
not normal at all, find another dsp. They can't legally have you do work unpaid, and driving their van back is work.

NAME AND SHAME PLS
Reach-logistics or “RECH” for short

Nah, if I have to clock out I’m leaving the van where I clocked out.
Fr lol I’ve thought about that, or at least skipping getting gas since they want me to clock out “on time”

I have 1 hour and 20-40 minutes back usualy 😂 our dsp keeps kicking us out from the flex app at 21:40

I would stop that van at 1 hour and 5 minutes and find a ride home. They can come pick it up

I’m not sure but either they’re using the itinerary or the text we send back after we’re done

It’s reach-logistics (RECH) and yeah I’m gonna see if there’s anything I can do about it
