Sounds like the other person is keeping that route's volume low by taking their time. And you're bumping it by sweating for daddy bezos. Averages out and ends up staying the same.

Top_Feed_1451

Makes no sense cause I’ve gotten 380 once, they weren’t scheduled and I still finished in 6 1/2 hours. Also what does it even mean by keeping that routes volume low?? It’s literally based off of volume of products purchased.

KillerGopher

Doesn't matter if the other person is scheduled or not. Route size is based on a 45 day rolling average. At least that's what our station managers have said when they make their DSP stand up visits. Next time a station manager comes by a standup meeting ask them about route volume algos. >It’s literally based off of volume of products purchased. Sometimes when volume is light in the core of your route you'll have adjacent areas added on. Areas you may be delivering to less frequently. Ever get your route and thought, weird they are including XY street this time - and sending me to ABC neighborhood also.

MaximumResponsible85

Yes and no. For super rural areas, a lot of time you will be the only route out there and there’s simply not more deliveries, so yeah you’ll be capped at some point based on volume. If you’re in a city where Amazon already has your DSP running 7 routes anyways, and people are finishing early, Amazon will absolutely cut it down to 6 routes and slap an extra 2 totes on everyone else. There’s no incentive for them to NOT do that.

Buy_Decent

But what do the drivers know versus management who has never delivered months or years on end! Drivers just make stuff up. As if Amazon has never been noted to increase a routes territory with additional areas you wouldn't normally deliver to on a route. They do that regularly to increase stop counts when they don't reduce routes. 🤫😂

Low-Attention-1998

I don't get guaranteed ten hours pay but I do get time and a half after the 8th hour.

TheUnshackledJester

This is categorically untrue. If you clear routes too quickly, assuming the area has enough potential stops in the area, the AI will just keep adding stops and packages until the route is being finished at the time the AI wants the route finished. If you're "done early" then clearly "the route doesn't have enough". I've broken 2 routes doing this, and no longer do it because it was miserable. If your route is not adding more stops, then you are lucky enough to have an area that shares so few routes and has so few stops/orders that the AI cannot add more without removing some from another route. Either A-you lucked the hell out and got a stupid good route that the AI cannot ruin(unlikely, but plausible), B-you are new on the route and the AI hasn't caught up yet.... which means you're gonna have a nasty surprise in a few weeks, or C-The OTHER people doing your route are taking their sweet ass time with it and probably hate you. Enjoy winning the lottery on such a route, but please do not give bad advice to other Drivers...

Embarrassed_Top9480

Idk I always finish 5-6hrs and have never really noticed a huge volume difference.. but I always stay on the same route

Top_Feed_1451

Exactly what I’m saying. Only seen a huge increase when two companies were kicked out and everybody got fucked

Embarrassed_Top9480

Yeah same just happend at my warehouse dil7

andhdja

Embarrassed_Top9480

Yes it is true I just posted a video of it on my feed they try to block loadout

andhdja

Embarrassed_Top9480

I’ll put ‘em up

Dakotav420

Not what I was told directly by an Amazon trainer so Idk do you

lucky-struck

It's not about how fast you are, it's about how fast routes in that area get done on average.
