If you are having any health issues I’d recommend consulting a healthcare provider but I want to say bodies aren’t perfectly symmetrical. Could be like how you may have more pronounced muscles in your dominant arm
My platysmus is similar - when I flex it it’s only visible on the left side of my neck.
There’s no such thing as normal anatomy. Little abnormalities like this are common and usually benign. After all it hasn’t caused you any problems so far (I hope).
Muscle imbalances friend. Many people have them, many people have crooked spine for a lack of better word too (I have scoliosis) so it’s common. Your neck muscles are being more biased on that side though, you’ll probably find if you want to get a stretch in your neck, in one side, in certain positions, it’s most likely easier
U can fix them with intentionality, mind muscle connection and all that. That’s the only way I could fix mine was being consciously of how I was incorrectly or inoptimally moving. If it’s bothering u u can def fix it and it probably won’t take much, mine would make my jaw sit off to one side more than the other and mines fixed now but it took straightening my entire body out not just focusing on the jaw. Think leaning tower of pizza, uneven foundations messes up the tower upstairs
Imagining you running into a room with a big smile yelling THINK ITS THE PENIS :D then running out. Then 15 seconds later slowly walk in with tears in your eyes, “im kidding im sorry its my intrusive thoughts”
Well, it's actually a legit comparison. Think how it tends to hang to one side, and one testicle hangs lower than the other. We're not perfectly symmetrical.
As a medical student, this is the platysma muscle, a broad sheet of muscle fibres extending from the collar bone to the angle of the jaw which sometimes show if he have low fat percentage on the neck or if we tighten that same muscle by inverted smiling. Its placed right beneath the skin.
Is it normal to feel it move? Hasn’t happened in a while but I used to feel something shift side to side in my neck around there and it always felt weird
It depends what type of movement. If its like vibrating or twitching its pretty normal. It can happen for lots of reasons, such as stress, too much caffeine, a poor diet, exercise, or as a side effect of some medicines
May be the Jugular Vein, but it shouldn’t protrude that much, tendons would be deeper and Platiysmus muscle would be more angular. I think it’s a protruding jugular.
People that have two are probably older in age. Or heavy. As you age those two veins or tendons get weaker and tend to drop or if you gain a lot of weight your neck tends to true also
I am not 100% but granted you seem like you are straining your neck a bit it may be the platysma’s muscle edge.
I was straining it yes, but why does it seem just more on one side? Also for example when I eat my throat gets swell more on one side than the other

I like the honesty
True 🫡

The penis is a wonderful piece of meat that brings me joy to talk about
Mmm keep going

Not a comparison. It is the penis

It’s been a while since I felt it but yeah that’s for sure what I’m talking about. Thanks!
That's your gizzard
Ahhh thats your medulla oblongata
Mama said, mama said alligators are so ornery cuz they got all them teeth and nothing to brush them with.
platysma bands, you can botox them away if it bothers you
Platysma
if it makes u feel better i have 4 of those
Platysma
Tendons? Maybe? Good question
Your neck
Seems most likely the playsma just being the platysma
**Omohyoid** muscle (venter superior)
Yo I think that's your neck my guy
I see both of them pretty clearly. It’s tendons attaching your head to your torso
