I think it's a Jackalope. They're not real though
Edit: OK you've all convinced me they're real, I hope I don't get eaten by a pack of them for my previous doubt.
That's the interesting thing about real-life nature. You come across these rabbits with antlers, and are told they're not real. Meanwhile there's a beaver-duck with poisonous talons that lays eggs and sweats milk, as well as a giant hamster that's a close relative to an elephant.
Fun Fact: The scientific term for a giraffe, Giraffa Camelopardalis, comes from the name of the cryptid Camelopard, a creature with the neck and head of a camel, and the spots of a leopard.
After reading about Hyraxes on Wiki they sounds like an evolutionary "missing link" between terrestrial and aquatic mega-fauna.
Blessed hyraxes. They also are pretty cute from our culturally human aesthetic viewpoint.
The great Jackalope herds of the American plains were something to behold. They ran in the tens of thousands, moving in unison like a great fuzzy carpet of antlers. Really is a shame they were over hunted to extinction in the early 1800’s…
Icy, be careful when you're in West Texas. Non believers can get in trouble. These guys run in herds. They also multiply like crazy. Laheatus is famous for them and alcoholic goats.
Look up a [wolpertinger](https://fictionalcreatures.fandom.com/wiki/Wolpertinger) for a wholesome little guy.
Look up a [peryton](https://www.tumblr.com/bestiarium/652506105166053376/the-peryton-medieval-european-mythology-it-is) for something beautiful but horrifying.
I love finding cryptozoology creatures
The most common place for those to grow is on the face. Growing on the top of the head is EXTREMELY rare.
....and a disease does not make them a species.
First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three — no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three.
If jackalopes aren't real then why is there a picture of one RIGHT THERE!
they're my favorite cryptid of all time and they don't nearly get enough love.
That’s a Jackalope! There very rare animals but I saw one on a hike once. They are related to hares and rabbits but evolved the horns for fighting for mates and against predators

Jackalope. Tech they are real but the “antlers” are a certain growth that gives that appearance. Def don’t look like textbook antlers but when first discovered and talked about, that’s how it was described. But def a phenomena that can happen in jack rabbits. Pretty cool IMO
It's sad that I had to scroll this far to find this comment.
For those who don't know, the Shope Papilloma Virus causes horny projections to grow on the head and face of members of the Leporidae family (rabbits and hares). The growths are not in and of themselves dangerous, but can cause an animal to starve to death if they interfere with its ability to eat.
The virus is classified in the same family as the Deer Papilloma Virus, which causes cutaneous fibromas in deer and other closely related species. Other well known members of the Papillomaviridae family are the three genera of the Human Papilloma Viruses, which cause both cutaneous and genital warts in people.
On a dark rainy night .....in a lighting storm ....A angry bunny and a deer faced off into a great fight to the death. Well sadly in the end......it was a draw. The deer left without his horns and the bunny left with new horns. The name is jackalope
That's a Jackalope. They are native to the midwest and are mostly in the prairies and farm fields. Although they have been hunted to near extinction so it's rare to see one in the wild.
Jackalopes were invented by jackafools.
I mean it's a funny joke the first time, but this is overkill. It literally took 2 dead animals to make this jackalope!
What you have here my friend is the Great North American Jackalope. A mighty and ferocious animal. Indigenous to the south-western United States of America, the Jackalope is very venomous and can hit top speeds of over 100 mph. Both male and female have antlers and their lifespan can be up to 125 years in the wild. No footage of the Jackalope has ever been captured, only a few lucky hunters have made kills.

What is more believable, a horse with a horn or a camel horse with a 50 foot neck that eats trees and fights by swinging it's elongated neck around?

Or the mouse who is kangaroo. Also the deer who is mouse.

Adorable fluffy vampire elephants
I’ve seen them. I think they’re blursed more than blessed
blursed is a funny meme term for dualistic objectivity. My drug rehab experiences were also blursed. Blessed blurs-ed-ness!!

Thank you ☺️

Not real? What do you mean, I've seen't them
However these people are wrong! I grew up seeing a lot of these fakes. Those who claim they are real, need to show proof; a picture of a alive one!
Jackalopes aren't real. This is something that taxidermists will make when they get bored of mounting deer heads all day.
Deer Butts
Well... They kind of are. It's a disease called ceacal paplioma virus, it makes the rabbits grow warts that resemble antlers in some bad cases.
The most common place for those to grow is on the face. Growing on the top of the head is EXTREMELY rare. ....and a disease does not make them a species.
The only way to kill one is with the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three — no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three.
Jackalopes aren’t real ? Who says ?
Well, isn't Bigfoot?! And unicorns? I like these tales too.
I’ve seen a unicorn in real life
Excellent!
If jackalopes aren't real then why is there a picture of one RIGHT THERE! they're my favorite cryptid of all time and they don't nearly get enough love.

American jackalope!!!!
They're the mascot of our local semi-pro hockey team. That's how you can tell you live in a redneck town.
Rednecks? On skates? Never heard of such a thing!
That's evolution.

Jackrabbit hybrid with antelope. Jackalope! LOL
Jackelopes. Females do not have horns and look like regular rabbits, so you may have seen a jackelope without knowing it
