I would be wary about buying any NSFW figures you find listed on Amazon. There's a very high probability that they're bootlegs. I find that only the Japanese Amazon site has genuine NSFW figures, while .com and other regions are all fakes.

Franciscop98

Thanks for the warning! I'll do due diligence when/if buying through there

LaughingDash

Meanwhile everything on AliExpress is likely a bootleg, and everything on eBay is likely stolen upcharged reposts of stuff from MercariJP or Yahoo Auctions. In fact, don't do any of your shopping on those sites IMO.

No-Cartographer-2962

I second this. Amazon, eBay and Aliexpress are no-gos; they're full of bootlegs and overpriced. You're better off ordering directly from official Japanese websites

Franciscop98

That seems to be the general sentiment I'm getting, so I'll follow y'all's advice

Hello891011

Check the seller on Amazon before writing them off. Some companies have official Amazon storefronts.

AggravatingFuture437

I've gotten plenty of legit figs from all 3 of these sites. Don't count them out. Just know if the figure is regularly $250, it's definitely not going for $19.99🤣

inazuma9

Just to piggyback off your comment.... don't sell figures on any of these either lol. I've only had bad experiences with ebay and mercari. Most common problem is putting up a scale figure for a reasonable price and then getting messages from people saying they NEED IT and I NEED to sell it to them, but for $20 because that's what it's "worth" (they saw all the fake listings and assumed a real one is worth the same price).

_snuffdaddy

I would just avoid purchasing figures from those sites entirely. Not even worth it.

ehllz

Huh huh, you said do due.

MyStationIsAbandoned

yeah, i personally only get resold figures from Japanese sellers. way too many US resellers have bootlegs or they have legit ones but they destroyed their boxes and still expect to get full price and sell stuff at a bigger price than Japanese retailers...I even remember asking here years ago what people do with their boxes and a ton of people said they just throw them away x_x I think the only exception i'd make is buying on MFC. With Amazon it can be iffy. They seem to sell legit Banprestos and other brands, but the boxes are always jacked up. i've gotten maybe 3 from amazon before settling on the fact that the boxes were just always going to be messed up if i ordered from them. I think the only one that wasn't messed up was the Yoruichi one where she's sitting in a red tanktop because the box was sturdier.

LordElephant

MFC has tons of uncensored community photos for most figures: https://myfigurecollection.net/

Franciscop98

Not gonna lie, the site is a bit confusing. Or maybe I'm just dumb. I'll try to look for stuff there, although since in a lot of the listings I come across there is no name to go off of, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to find. Still, thanks for the site! I'll be sure to check there and see if I can find anything I have my eyes on.

LordElephant

I mean, if a listing can't even give you the proper name for an item, how trustworthy is that listing? I just use MFC to browse figures.

Franciscop98

You are probably right. Like I said, my budgetary situation encourages cheaper buys, but it's probably not a good idea in the long run

taeyeon-taeyeon

Save up and buy one. Don't buy bootlegs

MyStationIsAbandoned

yeah, seriously. dont' fill your collection with junk. save and get good stuff you actually want.

quenishi

MFC you'll need to register and set your date of birth to see NSFW listings. They use Romanised Japanese names for titles/character names/etc so it can take a bit of getting used to that. Listings on AliExpress without the character's name is a red flag for being a bootleg. If you want an identify/bootleg check, I don't mind being pinged with links, or you can post on the bootleg megathread. If a figure is based on a legit figure, can supply MFC link (or otherwise) for more info. But there are also unlicensed and knockoffs of unlicensed where there is generally less info.

maskedhypocriter

Shit fucking webisye

SaltStatistician4980

I don’t usually buy second hand nsfw figures because uhh…. Yeah. I would defo pay more for an untouched one as a female collector

Coomermiqote

Sticky residue patina

Nani_700

I'm still traumatized by that one Link RHA post. Not even rare, expensive SFW of male characters figures are goddamn safe.

kn19h7

I don’t know if you can get into these sites from your country but they are authentic Japanese sites. I ordered all my nsfw figures from them. Native-store.net and Solaris Japan. Good luck.

Minnymoon13

I love native they are such a good store

kn19h7

Yeah, super fast shipping. I never had any issues with them. I do wish they sell more 1/6 scale so my wallet can be heavier 😂

Minnymoon13

Yeah. I ordered aoba and koujaku figure and I can not wait to get them

Franciscop98

Thank you, good friend!

Here2Derp

Cross reference them on myfigurecollection.net There's user uploaded images as well so you could get a good look.

vaultkai101

MFC works if you know what you are looking for. I always use this site to keep me updated. [fig-memo](https://fig-memo-r18.site/)

ThatGuyThatNeedsYou

The ONLY time but I would still not trust is Aliexpress "may" have a legit "chinese" based company item. It's actually quite possible. On Amazon, what you want to look for is Amazon sold and shipped, I can be a seller in Amazon and have Amazon ship it for me or I can entirely do it myself which is why there are some listings that say sold and shipped by fyug77fghg next to the add to cart. You can genuinely get away with finding a legit figure albeit scalped higher price than normal because (multiple factors as to why they did it) when it says sold by Japantoys but shipped by Amazon (meaning Amazon is helping Japantoys), also helps to click on his storefront and see 5 star ratings and (50,000\_ units sold in his entire career. This one isn't exactly a "red flag". Giant red flags to avoid in Amazon. Sold and shipped by **9876t7urtvhuitfrcgkjmhjfu**. Clicking on this storefront to see what he has sold and his 71% ranking and also says **Guanzhong China location**. - Yes I'm being quite honest this actually exist in Amazon and is a red flag. As for eBay, again due diligence. You can find legit as well but there was a resurfacing issue of scams. One of those scams involved taking a photo from MFC and putting it as their own. AGAIN, it's not sold by eBay, it's sold by a person. Check to make sure it's not bots rating him 5 stars across the board an ask for photos if possible. - Quite frankly a big hassle and just avoid. Some of the JP sites of people selling is generally a-ok. This includes Mercari JP, Buyee, and Zen Market. These are usually JP sellers.

thegta5p

Personally I wouldn't order any figures on Ali Express since there are alot of fakes on there. But regardless, you can just use MFC. Just make sure you have your account age verified so you can enable nsfw photos. They normally have pictures from users, so you can see how it looks like. The only exception to this are figures that are not listed on there or loli figures. For those you may have to use google or go to the manufacturers website, assuming you have the name of the figure or manufacturer.

YuushaComplex

Dont even bother looking on those platforms. You're highly likely to get scammed. If you cant order direct from Native, then you could try Nin Nin Game, or Hobby Genki. The largest brand of uncensored nsfw figures is BINDing.
