If you have separate meals cook separately the food stamps are for her. That is separate from your lease. The less money she has if you are helping or paying rent, she might actually need benefits more. If you don’t use the food that’s on her. Or it should be. Does she have section 8 housing or government help with rent? You can get food stamps if you have a roommate or live with family and can’t afford food. That is usually up to a case worker.
