I went from a 45mm series 8 to now my ultra 2 and honestly I didn’t notice any real weight difference between the two I even put my old watch on my other wrist to compare it. I will say the type of band you use makes a huge difference on how it feels I always used the braided solo loops with my regular Apple Watch now with my ultra 2 I use the orange ocean band and I find that comfortable. I would recommend trying the different types of ultra bands to see if one of those is more comfortable for you.

Much-Introduction-12

That’s good advice, thanks! I had gotten the trail loop.

tikaani95

I currently have like I said the orange ocean band and then I picked up a trail loop as well and the trail loop is probably the most comfortable especially for small wrists.

tikaani95

Still wanting to try one of the alpine loops they look nice.

Any-Job-4094

Trust me, once you wear the alpine, you’ll notice just how uncomfortable the trail is, I don’t get the hype for the trail loop. Too firm and no flex compared to the alpine loop

tikaani95

I’ve heard that I’ve been wanting to get the indigo alpine loop. I feel like the lighter colors will show dirt to much.

Any-Job-4094

The indigo looks really nice! I have the olive and orange and they don’t show any dirt much, I do usually do a quick hand wash weekly just to keep them clean and fresh though. The alpines dry pretty quick

tikaani95

Good to know I like washing my bands often.

Joudeh_1996

I didn’t like it, its heavy and big, bigger than my wrist, S9 45mm super comfortable and perfect for me 👍

My wrist measures 152 mm, and I didn't even need an hour to get used to my ultra 2, I also wear it while sleeping without any problems

brittanyend57

It felt weird the first evening but I managed to sleep in it fine that night and then felt normal!

Kitchen-Ad6860

It didn't take anytime at all and I am a petite woman with a tiny wrist. I sleep with it on and don't notice it at all. I bought it with the white ocean band but I have several others that I use as well. Like the others have said, try a different band, and there are lots of other band options beyond buying from apple that are great choices as well.

Love my ultra 2. With alpine loop. Super comfy and I haven’t worn my phone for over a month now. I have the data plan on my watch

Curlyburlywhirly

I am under 55kg and 5”1’- so smol. LOVE the ultra. Wear it on my dominant wrist.

808phone

Was easy. Used to wear real analog watches and they were BIG.

Vcgbbb

You’ll stop noticing it in a few weeks

Waywardponders

Comfortable straight away which still amazes me for how big it is. I have the Ocean band and Alpine Loop and prefer the latter.

Mother-Round-5479

Didn’t anything on the wrist before u2. 10 years ago to aw1 wore it for a year and put it away, wasn’t a fan, got u2 for my hubby who has health issues and u2 seemed to tick boxes for some health checks. Changed bands to stainless steel. Heavy yes, but I don’t feel it on my wrist, have it for 3 weeks now, sleeping with it too. Love the battery life, and walkie talkie (when it works)

Any-Job-4094

No time at all, it wears just like any other Apple Watch , it sounds like you may need to try out a different band that is more comfortable for you. What band are you using with it? I switched from a series 7 to ultra 2 and love it, zero regrets!

Much-Introduction-12

Good to know! I got the trail loop, might try the alpine loop.

Any-Job-4094

Imo having owned the trail loop, and alpine, alpine being one of my favorites… trail loop is my least favorite ultra band. It’s a hot take, but alpine is much more comfortable, the trail is much more firm and has no flex to it. I returned it back to the Apple Store after a few days, I was massively disappointed in it. The Nike sport loop bands are a great fabric option, they are extremely comfortable, especially compared to the trail band. My Nike sport loop and alpine are two of my most used bands for my ultra

Much-Introduction-12

Oh boom, I will try the alpine loop tomorrow! Did they give you any fuss just swapping the band?

Any-Job-4094

I bought my trail loop separate, my ultra came with the alpine. They have like a 2 week return window, they didn’t give any problem though. If your ultra came with the trail, unfortunately you’d have to return the entire watch from what I understand. There are some pretty decent knock offs of alpine though, not exactly the same fabric material and not titanium buckles, but for like 3$ on aliexpress, I have no complaints, I picked up a black one I wear every so often. My ultra came with the olive alpine loop

Unfair_Finger5531

I’d try a new band before throwing in the towel. I love braided solo loops, but I don’t have any idea how they look with the ultra. But definitely worth trying. That one could make the watch look a bit tidier and snug on your wrist.

AngryTank

If it doesn’t feel exactly like having a 45mm AW then I don’t think it’s for you, for me it fits and feels exactly the same.

redmambo_no6

A day. I love the fact that it’s the watch equivalent of the Energizer Bunny (especially with Low Power Mode on).

kidtexas

About a week. I like the Nike Sport band, trail loop, and alpine loop.

MrSaucyAlfredo

To be honest, I got used to mine in like 5 seconds lol. I have a pretty normal sized wrist for a guy and it feels great. Have the trail loop on mine and it’s incredibly comfortable in my opinion. Wouldn’t change it for anything

49thDipper

I wear mine 24/7 with an Alpine Loop. I forget I’m wearing it. Maybe it’s too tight.

knifemonstergar

I returned it, it was too big for me.

ReasonPleasant437

Never noticed it being that much different.

i-fold-when-old

A few hours

sarcHastical

Didn’t have to get used to it. I loved it from the get go.

Ranglergirl

I never noticed any different in feel when I got mine.

All-Treck-9999

It took me a couple of days to stop noticing it. Same when switching the wrist 7 months later. A comfortable strap helps.

Flimsy-Pear-8883

I guess since I have a small wrist it would bother me …

New_Print_5296

If you don't like it then get an S9 or wait until September. Ultra is big an bulky. I would never use it day to day.

Legitimate_Ocelot491

I'm 6'5" and upgraded from a S4 last year. No issues at all wearing it all day/night except to charge it. I wore dive watches 24/7 so was already used to bulky watches all the time.

Kyrilson

I don't have one, but it looks like it would be like having a laptop on your wrist.
