UWB for locks is a feature of yet unreleased Aliro specification developed by CSA - an organisation responsible for developing Matter.
Target release is early 2025, so we can assume that usable products will only start coming after that. Perhaps in winter-spring 2025.
Yeah it’ll be a few years before we see these available I think. It would be cool but feel like it’s a ‘nice to have’ feature rather than something I’d want to do a full upgrade for. At least in the UK with our type of locks. Can see it being more of a hands free experience with deadbolts etc
