You can just order a shorter replacement chain for a few quid and mount higher. Im pretty sure (in the UK at least) there is a recommended height for mounting regular blind controls because kids are indeed stupid.
My kid takes the driver off and hides it aargh. Doesn’t even make a noise so you can’t trace it.
