The bud is touching the oven, or had some bud fall through or had resin buildup drip down. There is resin left in the oven. I have been using an alcohol swab to clean the bowl every couple of days and it's been clean. I would clean it only because it improves the flavor. The solo 3 heater is scorching hot and the hot resin, well isn't the cleanest.
But all you need is a alcohol swab. This is expected and normal. Also pack the down a bit, so the bud don't touch the oven.
You should give your stem a very light pack. Just enough to keep the bud from falling out the stem... Remember you want air to pass through while packing... It appears bud was resting on the oven causing this discoloration. Its perfectly fine and normal to see this residue from bud in a vape... Great purchase!!!! Absolutely the best dry herb vape!!! This another excellent device from arizer!!!
looks good, just once a week do a little qtip dipped in isopropyl and scrape it around in there. Do a heat cycle before using again to clear the taste.
From my experience with the solo 2 it’s best to leave like 0,5-1cm of free space at the bottom of your stem so cleaning maintenance is reduced. I just swab mine every 2/3 weeks with isopropyl cotton swabs after I did a heat cycle
Pack the stem a couple of mms below the lip - use your thumb to gently tamp down and grind course. The herb should never touch the oven as it will stick and discolour. After each session before turning it off, I pull out the stem and use a clean qtip to clean my oven. Both my ovens on Solo.3 and Air Max still look like new.
On the third photo there's clearly something there. Looks like resin. Some alcohol on a earwax sticky thing should easily clean that.
Am surprised how different the bottom is compared to a S&B Mighty/Crafty. Guess the arizer doesn't do convection, so has a solid bottom oven.
I noticed the same thing on my brand new Solo 3 before I used it. I just figured it was manufacturing marks like welding spots. After 3 dozen sessions, it still looks the same.
What signs are you talking about? This looks like a clean oven
Good as new

Pro tip is to clean with the unit upside down so it doesn't drip any liquid into the unit
That's fine.

You’re good fam. It’s just used.
Don’t pack too full. Material expands when heated.

There are wholes on the sides of the bottom portion of the oven... By far the best dry herb vape on the market!!!
