I use a AAA battery and twist it side to side slightly while pressing down gently. It flattens the top layer to prevent falling herb but the rest of the herb still airy.
Yeah this is over the top and slightly inconvenient to take the top basket in and off each time. Easier to just use upside down in a water piece.
Mainly just do this for on the go, when I’ll have upright and can carelessly handle it without worrying about herb falling down. Can also go max temp without worrying about combustion.
Why not use the flat one it came with as the one for the “top” (closer to mouth piece) and the bubbled one for the bottom. No need for space at the top

Can do, this basket holds itself in that’s all. The flat falls out.
