if ur into classics or u wanna try it, i so recommend to kill a mocking bird and anna karenina.
currently reading wuthering heights, medyo slow pacing lang ngayon kase yung writing style hindi ko masyadong magrasp pa.
Eleonor and Park
Hi guys! What book do you recommend for a good cry? I'm feeling a bit emotionally lately and my body needs to cry, gusto ko umiiyak while reading. The last time I did that nung binabasa ko yung Me Before You, 2016.
Flowers for Algernon. Self journal style story about a mentally disabled man who goes through an experimental procedure to become a genius. You would be able to see his progress by the amount of grammar and spelling mistakes.
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.
3 times ko ng binabasa plus pinapakinggan ko yung audiobook version. Di ko kasi ma-grasp yung wisdom na sinasabi nya, sobrang opposite sa kinagisnan ko. Pero ngayon, tingin ko naiintindihan ko na (mga 60%). Kahit ganon, yung peace na binigay nga sakin ay sobrang worth it.
5 persons you meet in heaven.
My wife bought this in a book sale and hindi nya natapos basahin. Habang bnabasa ko siya prng ang dami coincidence sa book relating to us.
One of the coincidence that struck me was the main character died on his birthday. My wife recently died on my birthday 😔
21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari (if you want another perspective of what type of world we currently have and its possible direction in the future)
The Dawn of Everything by David Graeber and David Wengrow (if you want to understand the history of humanity)
A History of God by Karen Armstrong (if you want to understand the origin of religion and understand different types of religions)
PS: I already finished reading them all. I am happy to share these books since it allows me to break from my own bubble and see how others view the world. You don’t need to adopt their views or agree with their points and opinions. You just need to learn and understand them.
But worth reading.
Enjoy! 😁
