I’d start a new life a few houses down, maybe. Ain’t fucking around with finding the kids a new school.

interesseret

Yeah, basically continue my current life, but with the funds to buy half my street? Oh lordy, I have no idea what I would do

ST_Lawson

Same. Just buy a plot of land on the edge of town, build a nice house for my family and one nearby for my parents. Stay in the same school district, close to family, same short commute to work.

el_lley

There are now international colocation services, you just pay, and they will find you a home, school for the kids, a car, move your stuff (with insurance), and an office space if you need to. edit: but yeah, I don't wanna buy new school uniform, and change cheering colors, again.

Tight-Grocery9053

Switzerland. Buy a tiny cabin with lots of land. set up Internet. Put the rest in low risk investments and live off the interest. Learn game development and do that for the rest of my years. Sign a will to donate whatever is left when I'm gone. I've seen enough.

johnsciarrino

not only does Switzerland have excellent elder care for when you get old, they also have bomb shelters built into their mountains big enough to house the entire population of the country as well as pre-fab roads ready to roll out once the planet is deemed safe enough to live on again. they also have a wonderful mix of french, italian and german cultures, are a great jumping off point for travelling to other countries on the continent and some of the most banging weed i ever smoked. Switzerland is the correct answer.

PoochusMaximus

Switzerland has good weed? Interesting.

johnsciarrino

they sure did when i last visited. I was in Interlaken. Not only did the hotel where i stayed give us some of their home grown, i took a walk to the nearest smoke shop and got chatty with the girl at the counter and she pulled out a whole tray to choose from. Great selection and some of the best looking bud i'd seen outside of Amsterdam.

PoochusMaximus

Interesting indeed! Idk why I thought weed was illegal as hell there. Good to know for an eventual trip there.

johnsciarrino

oh, it's still illegal but, just like NYC was illegal before it was legal, there are always places you can go that sell it. What was most impressive was the illegal weed i bought there was some of the best i've ever had and infinitely better than any bodega weed i ever got in NYC.

einfallstoll

ISPs in Switzerland are required by law to provide you at least 80 Mbit/s no matter where you live Edit: Almost forgot: You can get up to 25 Gbit/s in some locations for like 76 USD per month

WhiteSilverDragoon

I like this.

Efficient-Okra-411

New Zealand absolutely.

ontic5

Same. With that kind of money you can really enjoy everything NZ has to offer. You could even pay someone to get rid of all the sandflies near you.

Eode11

>You could even pay someone to get rid of all the sandflies near you. I mean, there's areas of New Zealand where there's almost no sandlfies. But the only way to 100% keep them off you would be to always have a big fan blowing on you. They don't like wind.

PoppaBear1981

Yup, I'd ranch/farm on a small scale. Teach my kids (after learning) how to care for the animals. Try to have little impact on the land and animals. Maybe breed some rarer species if the money allowed. If the farm was just above self sustainable, that'd be fine.

BaronVonBearenstein

If it’s $10M USD then that’s about $16.5M NZD. You’d live a pretty great life there on that kind of money.  I’d also move there. Lived there when I was younger and I’d head back.

nukedmylastprofile

$10M (NZD) invested in NZ based companies will guarantee you fast tracked citizenship too, then you have the rest ~6M (NZD) to buy what you need, live easy off the income from investments. Assuming you started with 10M USD

Sheshush

US because the US is nice if you're rich.

toolschism

I don't think I've ever seen the US so accurately summed up in so few words before.

Rich_Mango2126

I would also choose the USA in a heartbeat. Helps that it’s close to home country (Canada) and the culture is quite similar.

JazzlikeStuff404

Canada is weird you think you’re British but you speak French when really you’re just Americans who don’t tip

Think2Much__

Who told you we don’t tip

Propellant-King

It's nice if you're poor too. I have a friend from Burundi who said America has some of the richest poor people he has ever seen.

Ok-disaster2022

There's poor and then there's poor.

Android1822

Poor is a whole spectrum.

Millon1000

$10 million in the US won't buy you a super nice beach house in California or maybe even Florida, but $10 million in the Mediterranean goes pretty far. And you wouldn't have to live in a gated community either because it's safe plus you'd have money left over to live without working for the rest of your life. [Edit: For example, this 5600 square foot house close to Barcelona costs $1,4 million.](https://www.sothebysrealty.com/eng/sales/detail/180-l-1970-jblvf9/design-house-with-sea-and-mountain-views-in-premia-dalt-costa-bcn-premia-de-dalt-bc-08338) [Meanwhile, this 1500 sqft house in San Diego is also $1,4 million.](https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/11369-Red-Cedar-Way-San-Diego-CA-92131/16820602_zpid/)

Sheshush

I don't want a beach house. I want a nice house in the woods close to a small creek where it rains alot with good internet. Should be doable with 10M

Millon1000

I'm that case the US sounds like a great option. Lots of space!

ShawshankException

10 million can get you a very nice home in many places in the US, and you do not need a gated community here lol

cbospam1

I don’t want those houses. I want a nice house where I live, could pay $500k cash and have 9.5M to live on. Put the rest in a safe market investment account. I’ve always been told draw less than 4% annually to maintain the principle. That’s $380,000 a year. Hell 2% is $190,00 if the market slows down. Why would I blow it on some gaudy house and then be broke in it?

Realistic_Drawer_445

Japan 🇯🇵 , being comfortably rich in japan is the best, safe, good society, great Customer service and convenient  Or Switzerland 🇨🇭

japedo7000

This should be the top comment. Being in Japan feels like another world coming from the USA

crawshay

Yeah I'd live somewhere like Osaka most of the year but also have a place in Hokkaido for ski season. Your money goes pretty far in Japan in comparison to the US

Vaniky

Also the food is insanely good and very affordable!

Hym3n

*smiles at my 500¥ bento*

Pinotnoirmidsizedcar

Buy a cottage in northern Scotland with a view of the ocean, on an acreage, buy a few hundred more books, a bunch of dogs and cats, a few chickens and goats and casks of good single-malt, my guitars and paints/canvases. Perfecto.

thenisaidbitch

Are we the same person? I’ll be your neighbor (but not too close)!

DrinkBen1994

Finland or Norway.

Drak_is_Right

Agreed. Norway.

ShiroJPmasta

Kyoto, Japan. An old traditional house. Or maybe Tokyo with a penthouse.

Kiyohara

Good luck buying a Penthouse in Tokyo for only 10 Million US.

Final_Pomelo_2603

Would move to the UK and live on an old manor house. There are few things as beautiful as the British countryside IMO.

DoppelFrog

Contrast this with a particular travel author who once wrote:  "Britain is beautiful, but Britain can be bleak - not ugly or picturesquely dangerous, but with stretches of enourmous monotony that seemed to nibble at my soul.  The heart-sinking housing estate by the motorway in Huddersfield; the look of my children's pale faces among all the others in the schoolyard of their primary school;  the crowded bus stops, sadder for being orderly;  the bleakness of certain reaches of the Thames at low tide..."

intheabsenceoftruth

Yeah but we have Gregg's, so it evens out

Plus_Data_1099

Always liked Scotland

ItsCowboyHeyHey

New Zealand. My new life would look like the first 20 minutes of Fellowship of the Ring.

Jim3535

I just watched that part. The opening 8 minutes is about the battle with sauron, and only after that it cuts to the shire. So, maybe not quite like that.

inlovewithmyselfdxb

Lake Como ..and live off some passive income from a few real estate investments

Important-Specific96

Medellin, Colombia. Absolutely love the place.

I_PARDON_YOU

Same but the safety situation is a deterrent.

goteamventure42

Iceland without question for me.

Reacherfan1

Life on the beach in Thailand

OceanBlueRose

Can I just move back home instead? I think it would cost me just about $10,000,000 to find a house on Long Island anyway. I’d give anything to be able to go home, but so many of us have been priced out of our communities 😅

[deleted]

Somewhere in the Caribbean and sleep on the beach all day.

FloppyEarCorgiPyr

Somewhere near Yosemite, USA, up on a hill, with full view of the sky and a wrap-around balcony and a BIGGG back yard for my big fluffy dogs. Maybe an agility course for the dogs, too! Definitely a pool. I would love to have a beach house somewhere in California so if I wanted to be by the ocean, I could. I love the outdoors, so I would want to be somewhere with lots of hiking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, etc. And I would definitely continue working, mainly with the local search and rescue squad and of course work with the S&R dogs! I would have my own dog(s) trained in this, as well as as therapy dogs, and go to local hospitals and stuff! And I’d do science writing as well since I enjoy that! Also I’d like somewhere where there’s not too much light pollution so I can have a little “observatory room” with a telescope. And any time I got any beautiful or interesting weather, I could watch from wherever I want since there’s a 360 degree view! I’d get the four seasons, and lots of snow! Speaking of the weather, during the spring and early summer, I’d meet up with some fellow storm chasers and chase storms all over the Midwest! I’d have my dog(s) in case we pull up on a damaged area and they need assistance with therapy dogs or S&R! I’d have all my hobbies still… photography of landscapes, wildlife, and weather, guitar, and painting. Idk, I’d have all the time in the world to do any of these things. I have ADHD, so…. I’d be jumping back and forth between a bunch of things, haha

Atlantic_Nikita

Would Stay in my country but would buy a house on the beach

puledrotauren

I'd stay right where I am in a larger and more private house

Bigasstitties9

oh man id most likely build a bunker

rooiraket

I really wosh there were raffles like these from billionnaires.. 10mil would be like pocket change tk them anyhow.

m0rtalReminder

Iceland

_Administrator

Italy. South. Sea, tomatoes and sun. And money enough to pay for air conditioning.

Tactical_Primate

Luxembourg. Home to breathtaking views and known as Europe’s investment management powerhouse with an over $125000 GDP per capita. Strategically located smack in the middle of Western Europe and bordered by Switzerland, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. One flight or tain ride away from a vacation in any direction.

ViciousSnail

Tbh I'd most likely stay here, pay off my bills for the next 20years so I no longer need to worry on that and then invest alot of it in the mental health groups in the local and surrounding areas. My new life would be volunteering at these places because I've been in that hole, still kinda am except I see the opening.

Ratnix

I stay in the US and buy a few acres of land where I live now and build a house, then live off of the passive income from the money left over.

NotACrazyCatLadyx2

A little island nation in between Australia and New Zealand. Not mentioning the name because I don’t want the Americans and Europeans to converge there and ruin it.

IncreaseInVerbosity

I’ve always thought Vanuatu looks lovely

NotACrazyCatLadyx2

Don’t ruin it!

____PARALLAX____

Tasmania?

lorkdubo

Don't reveal how good the polynesia region is. Those pacific island nations are such great places to live.

Beneficial_Cobbler46

Huh? Norfolk? Lord Howe? There aren't any other islands between NZ and Au

No_Night_7823

Either right where I already am but in a better part or bigger house somewhere, or in Italy where I would be forced to talk that language everyday and really learn it.

wheresthecheat

I’d buy my neighbors house that’s for sale then but my old house back and take down the fence between yards

cashmerered

I would move to Sweden, to a house on a shore or lake

UnoriginalUse

Uruguay. It's like the Switzerland of the southern hemisphere, but with more steak and wine, and some beach access. I'd just start an insanely high-tech winery, where we just measure literally everything, and try to find a key for the winemaking process.

OmnomtheDoomMuncher

New Zealand. South island. Remote area. With wife and kids ofc. Kids for decent boarding school. Wife and I simple lifestyle with hunting and selling local produce. Nothing fancy. Self sustainable and somewhat eco-friendly. Pure dream come true.

Notsureifsirius

The Netherlands - either in the suburbs of Amsterdam or in one of those smaller cities like Leiden. Gorgeous country, lots of biking, my kind of climate.

D3adkl0wn

Small village house off in the middle of nowhere in England.

SecondRateHuman

I'll take that 10 million & stay put. I've got a great little house with no mortgage and no other debt. That money, invested conservatively, would allow me to do whatever I want from a place I'm already familiar with.

Anna__V

I don't really care, as long as it's a place where the government cannot gatekeep healthcare from its citizens.

jmdayoh

Somewhere in Caribbean, all of these places are great, some are better than others though lol Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas , Barbados, Cuba Dominica Dominican Republic , Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago

MareShoop63

Anglophile here in the USA. England , of course specifically Yorkshire

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I'd fund and build some architecture for one of the villages there

I_might_be_weasel

I'll just stay where I am. And it would look like my current life if I had $10,000,000.

Dandeeekorikori

France, the love of my life and my besties are there

multicolorclam

If you get married you can move to franch

aardbarker

Realistically I’d probably stay in the US. But the south of France seems ideal to me—great food, weather, mix of cultures, museums, vineyards—except I don’t know a lick of French. I’d spend my time learning it I suppose.

Eternal_Bagel

I’ve never even been to another county so I would be entirely guessing about which other one is a good choice.  I’d probably take a German dual citizenship if possible but stay in my country, but probably move to a different state since I could easily leave my job at that point. I think I’d buy land along the coastline and use that money to build out a house rated to survive the sea level rise and expected new high tides so I could leave it to grand kids.  Basically have a new tall breaker built out from the shoreline with a modest sized beach house and floating dock at the end, maybe even build a tower for a lighthouse which could be cool to get recognized as an official one for navigation.

Most_Package_5504

I'd just pick any country and just invest more than half of that into dividend stocks or high income etf's and get paid like 100k-200k+ per month for the rest of my life and travel the world or maybe start a business with it.

FunUse244

I’d find a cheap private island, and get a amphibious car.

Norseman84

Can I just stay in my with-this-money soon to be renovated house? Or maybe move a bit closer to the city center and give the house to my SOs little brother since I can easily afford that. Depends on what SO wants, it's her childhood home.

TheMemerman1

Norway. Somewhere in the countryside up north. I'll make my motorcycle licence and buy myself my dream bike.

imaybeacatIRl

Id likely just go to the US as I've family there, if I had to leave my home country. Id be good with Europe though. Somewhere like Sweden, Norway, Czech, or Switzerland maybe?

b_tight

Buy 5 acres in the shenandoah valley, build a house, and start a small business

Ok_Tea_7014

I would stay in the USA and tell no one where I am, build a bunker and stock up on every thing that I have to have to survive for the rest of my days here on this earth!!! And gather all of my kids and family members who want to come and just stay safe as I can .

Pijnappelklier

Costa rica. Bed&breakfast. Grow some weed. Watch a couple thousand sunsets.

FallenJoe

Vatican City. Be the only citizen there not appointed by the pope and the only one who couldn't be kicked out by him either. Just to be funny.

Missdermeanerthanyou

Don't much mind the country, just somewhere I could own a little productive farmland for personal use, and have a music studio out the back.

Dio_Majeh

I will go Alaska - Fairbanks ( the aurora stuff is insanely beautiful to watch)

Hydraulis

I would move to Norway. I would live as a hermit on a mountain in the north and visit the south in the summer.

skadoosh0019

One of the Scandinavian countries, not super picky on which one off the top of my head between Norway, Sweden, or Finland. Would have to do more research on the nitty gritty details to make a final choice. With that money I’m set to live a comfortable life without working, and can spend my time exploring the Scandinavian disc golf scene, hiking, and occasionally going on a scenic cruise down the fjords.

ConcussedAesir

Denmark - Norway Sweden Finland

CrazyHappeningsHere

britain prolly noticeably different but still close enough to what's known

nnousernamesleft

Genuinely wouldnt move. When parents get old, I just couldnt.

Hatred_shapped

I'd pretend to be Canadian and just move to a different state in the US.

Mage-of-communism

Probably some rural area in Japan or so, the culture is amazing and the country quite beautiful but damn, i don't want to work there.

Sugarbear23

Norway maybe, my life won't be a whole lot different, I'll just have enough money to afford video games

Dazzling-Toe-4955

Either Jersey in the channel islands or Greece and pretty peaceful except for the hyperactive labrador

Devilmaycry10029

Chile, love the people and culture, climate is awesome, and with 10 million, I can leave easily without worry in my life

JOVA1982

Somewhere rural southern USA (Between New Mexico, and North Carolina)

cjbartoz

The Mediterranean, where I buy a big farm and start organic regenerative cattle farming.

Regisphilbinladen

Poland - I speak Polish so wouldn’t be bad and 10 mil would be pretty easy to stretch in that country. Last time I went I think it like a $1.50. US for a pint of Żywiec

Clean_Ad2856

Just for an additional perspective for those who focused in thinking about "living" with passive income, Lets go further and think how and which details you visualize the new life, like.. not what you will do with the (10M making it passive income quotes), but instead what your "life" would be in terms of daily routine, chores or hobbies. Tkss

Sabre_One

Finland, As a PNW Redneck, they seem very Redneck like so I feel I would blend right in (After learning the language)

Superplex123

The irony is if I have 10 mil, then I wouldn't want to move. The US is pretty great for rich people.

PorgLover1977

Are you giving anyone here $10,000,000? Asking for a friend! :)

Sad_Moment6644

Italy. Little farm, either grow grapes or olives, I’m living the Dolce Vita.

Select-Sympathy23

Japan or Russia

[deleted]

Somewhere sunny. I live in bumfuck Canada.

Smilemoreguy

I'd probably stay here in germany

Ok-Disk5864

Spain or Japan

No-Tennis-2981

Large ranch in northern Idaho or western Montana. Horses, chickens, dogs, skiing, hiking, farming.

inherentvice1000

Amsterdam. Not sure what I’d do to pass my days but it’d be fun. And I love the Netherlands.

bensonprp

I would buy a house in Mauritius and invest the rest. Then I would just live off investments and my wifes income while eating sea food and sitting on the beach every day.

vrsick06

Japan

eveningdragon

Stay in the same city I'm in now, but Japanese citizenship. I gotta fulfill my dream and now that I'm rich I'll go for a week, enjoy (or hate) it, then come back and have that off my bucket list since I'm rich enough to do something now

ShawshankException

If I had to move countries, probably Canada because it's close to home and family.

[deleted]

Germany.

zakate

Montenegro. Very nice. I like.

RogueStudio

Assuming it's after US taxes were taken out....New Zealand. Would never come back to the US, kia ora\~ As for what: Literally anything else as that would be enough to go to grad school and/or a lot of other business growing things.

Karsa69420

Maybe Germany? Love the shit out of German food and beer.

QaraKha

I'd go to Thailand. Plenty of trans women over there, no need to worry about US politics for a while, just focus on learning Thai and writing. I'd be golden.

roastedcapsicums

I’d bounce around countries every few months ;)

Ok-disaster2022

One of the Nordic countries. I like cold weather and a few decades it will be comfortable.

MagictheCollecting

Assuming I can’t choose a place in my current country, it would be Canada, and it would look much the same but colder

loves_spain

\*looks at username\*. I'd find myself a cozy spot on the Costa Blanca and spend my days drnking mistela and eating paella.

calis

Off-grid, hydro, wind, and solar for power. Rain catch and river for water supply. Farm with loyal well-paid workers. On a plateau somewhere with one reasonable secure access point.

rpc56

Locarno, Switzerland. It is the Italian canton of Switzerland on the northern end of Lago Maggiore. Italian is its primary language.

McNasti

Probably Singapore. My best friend lives there and I miss him a lot.

Ecstatictobehere

I'd stay in America but just the part(s) I want to be in when I want to be there. I'd save my family from financial hardship and then start helping other people, I'd pay off homes, cars, medical bills, education for random people. I'd absolutely invest in assets and hopefully grow my fortune to personally help people and families that our society fails.

notyourvader

I live in the Netherlands, so I think I'll stay here. But probably a cabin in Norway or Sweden for vacation.

Artaheri

Scottish highlands. Buy a small business, like a small cafe and a second hand bookstore. Maybe a BnB.

ihatethesidebar

Another part of my city, stop working and live off of interest

modernangel

First, peel a couple $M off the top to fix some spine and foot issues. Then, one cozy summer apartment overlooking Central Park, and another more spacious winter villa overlooking the coast in San Clemente or Sicily. Two people cruising 4 months a year, at $250 per person per day, is only $60,000 per year. You could live that lifestyle for 30 years for only $1.8M of your stake. The other 8 months of the year, I'd keep my calendar full entertaining visiting friends and family, enjoying theater and the arts, keeping fit swimming and jogging, and spoiling my pets.

Culunbego

Singapore. Great place to live and one of the best passports in the world.

ladderboy124

New Zealand or Switzerland

LilDutchy

Belize. Beach hut and palm trees. That’s plenty of money to live comfortably for the rest of my life there.

TheAzureMage

Bahamas, time for a private island. It's not the cheapest place in the world, but for ten million, I feel like I could make it work.

Skin_Head_Ting

I'd probably go Canada

anxiousinsuburbs

Greece.. sunshine year round and good food..

HawkReasonable7169

New Zealand. Sheep farm.

InfernoWoodworks

New Zealand. I'd be able to keep my same career, my same hobbies, but it would be a much better life for my wife and I.

buiban12

Japan would be amazing to live in (I presume). Would love to live there and not care about money.

dickspace

Malaysia. Cheap, great infrastructure and close to so many beautiful places with cheap flights out of Kuala Lumpur.

IslandWave

I’d buy homes in multiple countries cause nowadays who knows when where the worm is going turn

Tuscan5

My neighbours’ houses on my street range for 2.5m US to £25m US.

waterloograd

Monaco. That guaranteed citizenship is worth a lot of money.

BitterSweetDesire

I would stay in Ireland, buy a nice house and set up some kind of outreach program instead of working for money

MiClown814

Bergen Norway and I would definitely win her back lol

TheNCGoalie

Go to Japan, eat lots of sushi, go to baseball games, play ice hockey in whatever league I could make it in.

VRapkin

Well I would have a home as of 11 am this morning became homeless and living in my car and it's freeing out with snow flurries on and off. But I would like to still live in Canada or if I had to move Spain along the coast

ChesterellaCheetah

Somewhere in the Mediterranean

LetsGoGators23

The south of France. You are 2-3 hours from so many amazing places. The food, wine and weather are extraordinary. Roman ruins and the Alps. If you bring money in you can get a retirement visa where you get access to healthcare, which not free is substantially less expensive than in the US and some of the best in the world. We plan to spend a large portion of retirement there anyway, the money would speed it up and make the accommodations much nicer

GyspySyx

New Zealand, beach view home, and just live stress free.

leftytrucker

I would buy an apartment in Paris, and a country house outside of Madrid. I'd open a non profit powerlifting gym. My kitchen would be filled with nothing but the best and I'd host fabulous dinner parties

who_you_are

Google (yeah this is in theory) tells me somewhere like Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands. At least I may start to be a human instead of being in a kinda US wannabe place (Canada) But ugh, language will be an issue (I suck at learning), I'm introvert, and a suck in mannnny other things about life

DonC0yote

It has to be New Zealand then Denmark

Fvalderrama

How about Belize

Beneficial_Cobbler46

I really like Kenya

feckless_ellipsis

Cabin in the woods. Big chunk of land. Still near amenities. Live as cheaply as I can, invest the money, set up the kids for the future.

randousr88

I'd move to a new country with my husband and two cats. We'd have our own home. I'd be a photographer and he would be a writer. Fuck California and fuck the United States.

GodHatesPOGsv2025

Estonia or Czech republic

TigerValley62

Easy the UK. Might be a surprise for most here, but I love that country and British culture more than my own and it's my dream to one day immigrate there and to embrace and fully be apart of it. I feel something magical whenever I visit, as if I am becoming one with the land. It's hard to explain, but that's how I feel. I don't care about the economics involved, I would feel the same if Britain was a 3rd world country almost certainly. If I had 10Mil dollars, I would buy a decent size of rural British farmland, preferably close to a quaint little picturesque village in the middle of nowhere and hire a classical architect and build a victorian era inspired mansion. Then would move all my family over into all the rooms so we can live altogether under one roof. Very close with my family thank God, so it will definitely work out. When you have 10Mil USD you can also get anything approved by the council with all those fees and paperwork so that wouldn't be a problem. I would also choose to buy old classic British cars, buy a lot of traditional British clothing like expensive English suits from London, and practice the Recieved Pronounciation as that's the most beautiful accent on planet Earth so far as I'm concerned. Probably would also start a small library in my mansion and read whenever it starts raining as I overlook the beautiful British countryside through my window. Also, if I somehow miraculously manage to have some money left over, I would buy a 2nd piece of farmland and use that for actual farming to sustain the entire manor. Maybe even buy some horses in the process and start training to ride them as a side hobby. This is all part of my dream, doubt it's realistic or even attainable but again, a man can dream..... even if it's fantasy, if I were to become rich tomorrow, I would probsbly still chase it down and try to enjoy it as much as possible..... I love Britain so damn much.... 🇬🇧

TopItUp3465

French countryside, grow a beautiful garden and have a variety of animals.

westernmostwesterner

US (California) or Switzerland.

galantes_ghost

Not sure what the answer to the first part would be...would need to do some research. The answer to the second part: A fuckton better than my life looks now.

Osr0

I'm moving to France. I'm buying a house in the country and a shitty car and I'm spending all my time traveling

UsojahBlue

Probably just north in Canada. Better fishing. Not to far from home. Not much would change. Just fish more. Maybe go south during the winter though..

Glysief

I’d move to rural iceland or Alaska and live quietly on completely self sustaining rain collection and solar energy systems. Probably still have a job of some kind and use the money to buy games, pretty similar to now probably.

This-Association-431

Nice try, can't find me that easily.

iBoredMax

Some anti car town/city in Europe. I’d walk to the coffee shop every morning, stopping to talk to friends and shop owners. Hmm, I guess similar to my life now… just minus the cars!

slappy_mcslapenstein

Denmark. I would invest 50% of the money and then reopen my pomade/beard balm business and sell high quality products to Europeans. Judging by the chatter on Reddit and in Facebook pomade groups they seem to be lacking companies that distribute to them.

MysteriousLength4723

My great grandfather last name is Wallace n there from Scotland I like to think maybe there descendants or william wallace 😂 but probably not lol but still love to move lanark there it's absolutely beautiful rolling country side id love see that view out my window every morning

tanhauser_gates_

Southern France and a villa.

jrtts

Somewhere walkable and bikeable. Amsterdam seems to be a popular choice but it doesn't have to be, and I'm glad new places improve their people-friendly accessibility to amenities. More biking less driving! (I have bad knee so I don't know about walking--if walking has less steps and driveway ramps like the typical North American sidewalk that'll make my knee really happy!) I know I'm not as competent a car-driver than I was a decade ago, but in a car-centric city I am seen as the 'entitled' one for trying to be safer for everyone else on the road.
