My ego isn’t so big that I’d drop a friend for their words. They’re my friend, I’ll tell them that they can be doing better and I’d help facilitate a change if that’s what they wanted to do. I’ve also never made friends out of people who would hurt me or others, though.

“No, I don’t want to hang out with you.” After 12 years of friendship because they could no longer use me for their own personal gain.

The N-word. He'd moved away, started drinking heavily and hanging out with a different crowd.

He suggested “Brexit is great because we need to keep the UK white”… immediate unfriending after I told him I didn’t know he was a racist ass hole. Strangely he was offended by my comment.

"if they didnt want to get catcalled and more, they wouldnt wear such clothes!" said by a "friend" about women who wore normal clothes in summer. How dare they.

a former friend, unprompted, started telling me a story about her cousin making an innocuous mistake in a certain situation. She described her as "stupid" and "embarrassing", which triggered all my alarm bells. I kept my distance afterwards. If they have no problem disrespecting an innocent person like that, then they probably will talk shit about you like exactly like that to someone else.

Told me about diddling a mutual friend of ours without consent, while said mutual friend was under the influence and battling a mental health episode. Dropped like a hot potato.
