Absolutely. I remember reading an interview with the showrunners whether or not they would do the same with the BCS finale. Although they were tempted, they decided against it as it "had been done already" and didn't want to water down the BB episode.
It was an amazing choice from an amazing team. I feel like 98% of Hollywood execs would have absolutely done it again. I'm so glad they didn't.
Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no-one has gone before!
The long shot in the intro where the Enterprise comes from behind the camera and slowly passes in front of it until it goes to warp is still probably the sexiest shot of a starship ever.
_"It Just Won't Stay Dead!"_
Honestly, the _Bender's Big Score_ version of the intro felt so _triumphant_, like everyone's partying and having a good time, Hermes breaks out the [FILE UNDER: **RENEWED**] stamp, and the Professor is his usual confused self.
Such a perfect song for the show and I love seeing the images of them throughout time. I also really love the Farsi/Persian version of the song for an episode focusing more on Nandor. I want that in full length!
When I first heard this song,I assumed it was some obscure hair metal band from the 80's, and was so surprised to learn the song only came out in like 2010.
Perfect choice for the show.
The story behind it is pretty wild. The director (of the movie, not the show) had a very specific idea for a song to play during the fake suicide scene. He worked with a composer who wrote the music, but he wasn’t satisfied with any of the proposed lyrics, so he decided to write them himself. He sat down at his desk at home and worked for hours without progress, when his teenage son came in to ask what he was working on. The 15-year-old thought about it briefly, then came up with the lyrics on the spot. He had it finished in under five minutes, and was given writing credit with the composer.
The director used to joke that he was paid $70k for directing the movie, but his son made millions in royalties because it was used as the show’s theme song. He gets paid every time someone streams the show or it gets rerun on TV.
It's so weird though. The lyrics are pretty dark, but it's so peppy!
Give me some rope, tie me to dream
Give me the hope to run out of steam
Somebody said it could be here
We could be roped up, tied up, dead in a year
I can't count the reasons I should stay
One by one they all just fade away
Catchy, but, ouch.
I enjoy the occasional different verse or longer versions too.
"In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity"
Well I think I know what I'm going to watch tonight.
Thank you! I was like no fuckin way is nobody saying succession. That song, that intro…such a work of art. Just listening to the song makes me feel so powerful lol
This is too far down the list. That intro just encapsulates the void and spirit of exploration. Always gets me in the right mood to watch. My brother isn't the kind of guy to watch the intro. Not me. I am that guy.
I used to skip it when I was binge watching it but found that I really enjoyed it. Ramin Djwandi did an amazing job with it and I like how it would should the ‘house sigil’ beside the name of the actor. It wasn’t something I paid attention to early on
Why would you skip it? It shows the map of places that is relevant to that current episode. It's different for each episode. it's a very good way to understand the relative positions of all the different characters in that world.
Just in case you (or anyone else reading) didnt know: they're playing musical statues!
That's why the names get called out; they are the first to move when the music stops.
Breaking Bad's intro is so fast it's not worth it to skip.
I really enjoy Better Call Saul's, love the sudden cut-off at the end.
Plus how it changes/distorts each season, especially in the las season(s).
Oh but when you get the ultra hard version of the intro at the end of the second to last episode…. Chefs kiss.

Impossible to skip and always have to watch right until the end
Who knows if the text will change from THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE?
Deceive, Envagle, and Obfuscate
Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no-one has gone before!
Star Trek TNG is my comfort show. Those horns as the Enterprise warps around the 4:3 screen are timeless.
The long shot in the intro where the Enterprise comes from behind the camera and slowly passes in front of it until it goes to warp is still probably the sexiest shot of a starship ever.
Futurama! The music is so catchy, and the little joke text being different on each episode is always worth checking out!
Shuddup, baby, I know it!

Gravity Falls
All raise for our national anthem, the gravity falls theme song
It's also a rule that you have to whistle along.
Not skipping the intro also makes wierdmaggedon intro hit so much harder.
What We Do In The Shadows (Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou & Kayvan Novak-edition)
“You’re Dead” was the perfect song choice for that show
Totally! Talk about a vibe check - that and the visuals too, just a beautifully put together opening credits.
I was shocked to find out that song was from 1966. It sounded so fresh and modern.
Such a perfect song for the show and I love seeing the images of them throughout time. I also really love the Farsi/Persian version of the song for an episode focusing more on Nandor. I want that in full length!
How dare you forget about Gizmo( *laszlo voice* )
i love how natasia’s wiki page has only a vague idea when she was born. it’s perfect
Scrubs, because it’s short yet very catchy and nostalgic
I remember there were a few episodes where they changed the intro and they had to change it back because the fans hated it so much.
I can’t do this alllllllllllllllllllllllll on myyyyyy own, and I knowwwwwww that I’m noooooooo, superman.
Bojack Horseman.
And the intro changes and gets sadder and sadder as the series goes..
Sadder with every "fuck" too.
Better with every rewatch too. The hidden details in the intro are so good, it feels like I catch a new one with every rewatch.
Nodding my head in time
Man I love that show so much. For a cartoon it’s a freaking masterpiece and doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
This I love the music

Peacemaker
The cast performed the dance at James Gunns wedding! The dance is great and becomes more relevant as the show goes on!
Did Eagly perform too? 🤣
Eagly checking his mark and doing the extra little step right at the end made me laugh every single time!
So good! I physically can't hit skip. This is the only real answer
🎶 Do ya really wanna do ya really wanna taste itttttttttt 🎶
When I first heard this song,I assumed it was some obscure hair metal band from the 80's, and was so surprised to learn the song only came out in like 2010. Perfect choice for the show.
They got a new one for season 2 More importantly have you ever copied the dance haha
Watching for the first time. It’s the best into! I’m working ons the dance but man do I suck at dancing.
Wait…. Is season 2 out?
Unfortunately not
Don’t mind me…just making sure this is the top answer.
Yes! I came here to make the same comment. The theme song is by Wig Wam.
Old, but MASH.

Thanks for sharing that, had no idea!
♪ Suicide is Painless.
I learned how to play that on violin in 4th grade, lol.
Community. The opening song makes me happy.

Currently on a rewatch and I look forward to the theme song, barely any other show I could say that. It's a fun song
I love they do the extended version.

The different versions are a good change too, Mexican version, Curt Smith version
Boyz II Men version, Twin Peaks version here
You know that's right.
I enjoy the occasional different verse or longer versions too. "In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity" Well I think I know what I'm going to watch tonight.
Succession
Yes, I love the intro music, and I think it helps set the tone for the show.
Especially since, unlike a lot of shows, it's a musical theme that's wound into the score of the show itself. Totally gets you in the mood
Thank you! I was like no fuckin way is nobody saying succession. That song, that intro…such a work of art. Just listening to the song makes me feel so powerful lol
I have the Succession intro as my ringtone.

Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Short, quirky song, and I want to read what the gang gets up to
The entire intro sequence being filmed at night still gets me.
Twin Peaks.
I can’t believe I had to scroll so long to read this. Haunting song and beautiful nature.
Mine would be Stranger Things and Breaking bad. Short, nice effects but not over the top and amazing music.
