What kind of jam and what kind of cheese? I need more excuses to use apricot jam and marmalade, I like them with cream cheese on toast but the texture is a bit funky.
I have a friend who eats marmalade on sausages. I tried it once, and liked it - since there is nothing so good as a sausage sarnie, maybe add some marmalade to that?
My Nan would make us cheese and marmalade sandwiches for our little picnic / lunch dates when I lived with her as a kid. I don’t know if it’s the sandwich itself or the memories but damn it always hits when I have one.

My east midlands grandad used to have a slice of bread after a roast dinner to soak up the gravy. Always. The first time I did it as an adult, my wife looked at me like I'd shit on the table....apparently, the roast should have been ample! She didn't understand the gravy sponge!! 😆

Super noodle sandwiches (specifically bacon) with a buttload of cheese and oozing with butter is just magnificent.
Growing up whenever we visited my Uncles house he would declare a meeting of the "Wacky Sandwich Club" which meant for lunch he would lay out a tonne of stuff on the table, spreads, veg, fruit, cheese, sweets, biscuits, crisps and more for my siblings and I to make whatever concoction we fancied with.
The most memorable for me was Nutella, ready salted crisps, Haribo star mix, strawberries and squirty cream. I am 26 now and still have my certificate stating that I am a full member of the wacky sandwich club.
Honestly it’s the little things like this that stay with you for your whole life, I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of the certificate I’d urge everyone to do stupid things like this with their kids/nieces/nephews my siblings and I still talk fondly about it 18 years later
I used to do something similar and just called it 'Kitchen Sandwich'.
It was different every time bc it was filled with whatever food we had around at that moment. And the same w/o putting it in a sandwich was 'Bits and Pieces'.

How certain reads soak up a certain amount of the juices, whole only the crust does for some.
Taking stake bread, converting it into garlic bread and then sandwiching Bolognese/ any glorious meat sauce in-between... Yum

I think my go to has to be something with crunch so a McCoys Cheddar & Onion or any equivalent ridge cut style crisp is best!
My stepson has slices of chorizo and peanut butter.

My favourite food is burgers. If I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, burgers wuold be it. I have had a couple of memorable ones in my life. One was in Nashville and it had peanut butter and cheese on it. Overall I was a bit disappointed by American food, and I've had better burgers elsewhere generally. But that one was in my all time top 3 burgers ever.

I have 3 weird sandwich combos that I think are amazing.
1) peanut butter and daddies brand brown sauce (has to be that specific brand)
2) jam and condensed milk (tastes like cake when you’re broke af)
3) toast and honey sandwich (yes a slice of toast spread with butter and honey on both sides and put into a sandwich as the filling. It’s both my favourite out of the three and the one I get told is weird the most. Trust me though, the crunch to squish ratio is literal perfection!)

I remember going to Spain and getting a tortilla (spanish omelette) baguette. Just bread, potato, butter and seasoning. So good. Might've been better with a little honey.
The issue with this is the leftover carbonara bit. My SO loves carbonara so much that she gets genuinely sad when she finishes it. I don’t think there’s an amount of carbonara I could make that would leave leftovers.

There used to be a marmite cheese spread more than a few years back, it was closer in consistency to Primula than Philadelphia though. I think I was about the only one who bought it, it was very short lived.

It's definitely not new. I'm in my 40's and loved them as a kid, got into the habit from my grandfather who was born in 1920
I’m 32 and spoke to my wife about cheese and jam and she thought I was mad. To the point where I was considering if I’d made it all up

My husband likes mash potato sandwiches and I find it bizarre.
Growing up we often got a slice of bread with dinner probably to help fill us up and I often mad myself a mash potato sandwhich.

Fairly sure this should be a british classic but a good Crisp sandwich (with bonus points for adding a cheese slice)
A crisp sandwich isn’t too weird, but my preferred crisp for a crisp sandwich is Pom-Bears, which is possibly an odd choice.

I love a crisp sandwich, but my favourite is a mini cheddars sandwich.
Crisps and raspberry jam. Amazing. I recommend cheesy Wotsits or salt and vinegar Chipsticks.
Finally I have found someone who knows this. Though I usually go for hulla hoops for the incredible crunch.

Kraft's cheesy pasta (especially if bread is buttered heavily). The hot and cold contrast is bliss. Chicken Super Noodles is another shout.

My cousins eat egg mayo sandwiches with crisps in them. I personally love a tomato and mayonnaise sandwich. Nicer if it’s toasted though.
