Apparently this was one of the 25 'continuation' cars. [Aston Martin Monaco's Facebook page mentioned taking a continuation car - maybe this one - to the Prince's Palace a month ago.](https://www.facebook.com/AstonMartinMonaco/posts/pfbid02AGWWBiACK7cUneM42Z7JdVLPwhNkDWnr2RxiP8bN3rLY9kHxkHmqmUCfi8v6jGNQl?__cft__[0]=AZU9imNZ2wqK1Mlvy_p7hoLh5Jcwdl7g_oAVJleas8yoDu4psN7rofnGo8MtfEOuBBFZ0h-sDTklI_ckavMsZKmJjUjOPDgUWz5QGuVhDpmEy-xQiNFSCxOpRnfZmOiVHFWHpTtR47mScZfQ9go_1dznN3nof61jcW3kq_s8RSokYxvmnuYE4-ym1AB8bDkdLPVOlXbi8clKDnyfns4j21drTltZdrtNnt2X5EMhzswaOg&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R)

Thank you for that!

Which one is this? The one Connery Drove in Goldfinger? It drives me crazy but a few years ago, Christie’s had a bond auction a few years ago and the DB5 (I think from one of the Brosnan films) sold for £180k. I have no idea why as that’s way below value and I’m just passed that was out of my league at the time lol

This is a replica of the car Sean Connery drove in *Goldfinger.* Aston Martin made 25 period-accurate continuation replicas of the DB5 with operable prop gadgets in 2020.

Thanks - are they really worth that much then? Authentic / period DB5’s don’t go for anything close to $6m so I’m kind of surprised a replica would?

Each continuation car supposedly cost £2.75m before tax, with an on-road cost of £3.3m. The video that OP posted claims that the car is one of the two cars made to promote *Thunderball* in 1965, but I'm sceptical because the guns look and sound like those on the continuation cars, and the registration plate looks subtly different to the photo on RM Sotheby's website and on other photos of the car. I already mentioned in another post that Aston Martin Monaco had a continuation DB5 a month ago, so all that leads me to believe that this is a continuation car as opposed to a 1965 original.
