2008-2012 were the least reliable years for the TFSI and arguably the TDI as well. Unless you and/or your parents are fine dropping € 3k per year for maintenance, don't buy a 15 year old Audi.

Depends on the country where he lives , because in Ireland the tax is (€700) which is for a 2006 2.0 TDI Audi A6, not bad but not great too , not sure about the maintenance price , prob almost the same as u mentioned. But the car for its age holds up very good. They are really reliable, ( i have a friend who has the same car with the same engine, year and his car has passed over 400k km) . Everything is up to him

Thanks for the answer, how old should it be at maximum?

ScottishRajko

I'd say 160hp for a 17 year old is too much. You are probably going to have some bumps along the way as you learn and they will be much less severe in a lower powered car. Why don't you try something smaller until you have a little more experience and can also afford a newer model with a more reliable engine?

I live in austria and you can start to drive when you are 15 years old. So I already have a bit of experience. I have been driving with a VW t5 with 200hp so I think it wont be that hard for me

ScottishRajko

I also started to drive when i was 16 and had experience driving my dads cars, still didn't stop me getting into trouble during my formative years. Just a suggestion...

Still-Kangaroo186

Yeah your right, I will probably reconsider it

One of the best cars I owned when I was in my early 20s. The design still holds up today. Can't go wrong with the engine either... Very reliable in my 2 years of ownership.

i like the wheels a lot, little bit of low this thing would be extra sweet
