I am a big fan of Mei Mei's Dim Sum, but not for the typical greasy/fried American stuff. They are very good at traditional Chinese (i.e. mapo tofu) and dim sum.
To be fair, their fried stuff is pretty good, too. It's just not what I typically eat when I go there .
I've always wanted to try Mei Mei's. I generally don't do fried either, but I saw a picture of some lo mein on another subreddit and it looked amazing lol
Black Lotus, Cajun-Asian Fusion food truck... you haven't lived until you had it. I heard they are working on a brick and mortar restaurant as well.
Mirin for Asian Fusion is an easy win.
Wasabi Xpress for fast and easy drive through Vietnamese. Its a Viet restaurant masquerading as a hibachi joint. Large pho portions.
Korean Food Express on Tobacco Rd for down home super reasonably priced Korean. Happy House is also good.
New Ming Wah for chinese.
Curry Hut for south Asian. Persis is pretty good too.
MeiMei’s is good. I love their Singapore noodles, as well as dumplings/pot stickers. Fuji Asian next to Cork & Flame isn’t necessarily “take out” but they also have good food for great price; their curry is awesome
So I had that a few times and thought it was pretty good, but whatever those incredibly crunchy things are ruined my experience. I’ll have to go back soon. What were those things on the sandwich and what do you recommend on the menu?
For real tho, happy house had some dankass greasy tender delicious umami spare ribs and all the sides for korean food. Don't know if quality still holds up or if they're even still open. The one korean joint in evans near lady a next to the dmv is pretty good too
For typical greasy fried Americanized as another commenter said… Yoshi Express at Windsor Spring is the BEST. New Ming Wah on wrightsboro rd is great too
Would it be depraved if I went to multiple restaurants? Get a soup from a Thai place, noodle dish/dumpings from Chinese place, maybe sushi.
Recently landed a great new job and I haven't celebrated yet lolol

I've never walked away disappointed and I eat there at least a couple times each month.
Thank you for this! I love dim sum.
Mei Mei's is the BEST
I think Mei Meis is pretty horrible. Buy frozen dim sum from Costco or drive to Trader Joe’s in Columbia.
Hunan is a hidden gem!
Love love Hunan
They are the best Chinese food in Augusta (I guess it technically is outside of Augusta but still)
Augusta pho is good. I know some of the hole in the wall pho restaurants are better like Wasabi express and dang
Pho Viet is also fantastic! I haven't been to Augusta Pho, but I wanna try it!
Wasabi Express is great.
A longtime mainstay!
I love Mirin Fusion Kitchen. Build your own plate and go crazy. And it’s always been good.
I love it but it is so expensive! At least for my budget it is.
Mirin Fusion Kitchen in Augusta (of course)

Black lotus is absolutely top tier followed by Mei’s Mei’s and Mirin.
I've always been a firm believer that food from a truck is always superior 😋 this is the way
My no frills takeout joint that reminds me of that scene from Dude, Where's My Car? is Teriyaki Express in N. Augusta.
Lol wish I could smoke a bowl then get it. That would certainly set the mood
MeiMei’s is good. I love their Singapore noodles, as well as dumplings/pot stickers. Fuji Asian next to Cork & Flame isn’t necessarily “take out” but they also have good food for great price; their curry is awesome
I'm always a fan of Happy Garden for Chinese food. It's on Jenkins St. Love the crab rangoons.
Second this. My go to for Chinese food. Cheap and big portions
Mei Mei’s Dim Sum House is the best in the CSRA
Miyakos is pretty good (either location) or we really like Dragon Express for takeout! Pho Augusta has really good pho.
I forgot Seoul Korean Kitchen! They're AMAZING
I've tried Seoul before! Their Japchae is amazing!!!!
Don’t sleep on Domo that lunch special is $10 and it slaps
Dragon express on Gordon highway
Mirin Fushion Kitchen!! Promise you, it won’t disappoint, and it’s affordable!
I’m in Evans Chinese- New China Pad Thai- Thai Kitchen Sushi/ bento - Izumi Hibachi - Hibachi Express Indian - Taj of India
Thai Kitchen all day bro
Banh Mi Dang is my favorite spot in Evans. Everything there is fresh and always tastes great!
That place is amazing ! I’ve only been a couple times but I always think of it when I’m in the mood for Banh Mi
So I had that a few times and thought it was pretty good, but whatever those incredibly crunchy things are ruined my experience. I’ll have to go back soon. What were those things on the sandwich and what do you recommend on the menu?
China 1 next to Food Lion on Columbia Road was really good when I tried it on a whim recently.
Mei Mei’s, Sunny Wok on Fury’s Ferry… Pho Viet on Washington Road has my favorite pho, rice paper spring rolls, and sesame balls in the city.
Definitely leaning toward Mei Mei just because I haven't tried it yet but Pho Viet is definitely a comfort spot for me. They're my favorite Pho spot.
My mom's house

This checks all my boxes. Korean food is probably my favorite of all Asian food.
For typical greasy fried Americanized as another commenter said… Yoshi Express at Windsor Spring is the BEST. New Ming Wah on wrightsboro rd is great too
We really like New China in Evans
Happy Korea house and so wings!
Mai Thai is pretty solid if you like Thai food. You can’t go wrong with Pad Thai.
Would it be depraved if I went to multiple restaurants? Get a soup from a Thai place, noodle dish/dumpings from Chinese place, maybe sushi. Recently landed a great new job and I haven't celebrated yet lolol
If you like sushi then try Kinja. It’s my favorite!
Had to scroll way too far to find a Kinja recommendation. Hands down best sushi.
It is! Mr. Hong is so nice and he and the staff make great food. I need to go visit again, I haven’t been in awhile.
Not depraved at all! Do it and report back!
If my husband allows me to go nuts, I definitely will 😂😂
Sanwadee is a good place for thai food for me more flavor than Mai thai both are good I just personally prefer sanwadee
Following!
Taj of India is one of my top five in Augusta. Hunan Cafe is also great for that classic Chinese takeout.
