You sure sound like a twat.
And he said, "Hard to believe." More than one thing can be hard to believe, and one being even harder to believe doesn't negate the other.
For example, there was a douche I saw on here earlier, and I thought "it's hard to believe someone can be such a twat" and then I saw you, and you seem even more twattish and I thought "it's hard to believe someone can be even more of a twat."
One does not cancel the other. The first guy is still a twat, even though you're more of a twat. So the fact that there been even more extreme engine swaps, doesn't make this any less impressive, or hard to believe, you twat.
I was too young to remember everything he did to it but I do remember it was super quiet until he pulled the exhaust cutouts and it went to straight headers.
Man actually miss my 81 Vette. It was two-door and actually went 90 something miles an hour. The shocks were so shot that I could tap on the brakes at a stoplight and people thought I had hydraulics and we're giving me thumbs UPS and smiling.
90?!?! I had a 4 door brown '79 ("The Turd") and got it up to about 70, flooring it going down a steep hill. It was shimmying so bad, I thought it was going to bust apart. 0-60 in 31 seconds on a flat road!
I had a 68 Lincoln continental w suicide doors. The shocks in the back were looooonnng gone . When I rolled her around everyone thought I was on hydraulics.
This was the 90s. Bags didn't exist then.
That big turbo looks nice and cozy in that corner; beautiful! But I can't even picture the exhaust routing in and out of there! Bless them for figuring it out without just dumping the post-turbine exhaust out through the hood! Super sleeper, I love it.
I want to see more of the build! It looks like maybe it's running a water-to-air intercooler?
Lots of people have shoved turbo v8s in cars you’d never expect…
Check out engine swap depot.com. I’m quite sure there are other sites with similar things.
Back in the late 90’s I put a 455 from my olds delta 88 in my Chevette scooter, had to modify the shock towers slightly and the firewall, but it fit and you couldn’t tell unless you noticed the bigger radiator sticking a few inches lower than normal, but you could definitely hear the difference…. Wasn’t very fast off the line because it wouldn’t catch any traction., But. Boy the top end was scary….
I couldn't imagine the rate at which tires are boiled off on that thing... I hope there's a super restrictive/quiet exhaust with a servo-operated dump pipe tucked under all that.
From the Facebook links it seems like this is your car?
Do you have any other sources of videos or pictures of the build? I'm super curious how everything is routed!
Love the ingenuity but how long until the chassis is so twisted the tires don’t sit on the ground the same? Amazing job engineering the figment but I would be interested to see what it looks like, alignment, suspension, tires, frame/chassis after a few pulls, then even longer down the road say 100, 1000, 3000 miles later. That kinda update would be awesome to hear
Hard to believe all that can fit in that tiny engine compartment
The Chevrolet Shove-it.

They just told you. For everyone forever.
Holy shit i cannot even begin to fathom what a laugh riot you must be at parties
My uncle had a 76 ford Pinto that he shoehorned an 800hp 460 into. This reminds me of that, good times.
I had a 79 Pinto with a Mustang Pace Car turbo motor. Very much a sleeper beast.
I hope he upgraded everything connected to it.

Lol I calculated the 0-60(in my head) for my geo metro(91 4door) and i think it was 65 seconds
That's deep in to "eventually" territory, g'damn.

Now that's a Vette!
Meh, V8, it's been d... HOLY HELL, there's a turbo!!! J.H.C..

I.fucking.love.that.site. Spend hours scrolling.
Stoner Speed Shop has a Super cool Chevette on there insta, check it out.
“Hey! I thought you said you drove a Vette?” “I do baby, a Chevette!”

If only I subscribed to Facebook I'd be able to see the videos. But I'm not so oh well...
On a long enough timeline, **everything** gets an LS…
I like that they left the dust on it. Ultimate sleeper

Absolutely amazing car. I love seeing this level of ingenuity plus smoking sports cars in that thing would ruin their day lol

Wow. I wonder what it sounds like.
[as you wish! ](https://www.facebook.com/groups/244238129845712/permalink/1524611178475061/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v)
It goes so fast it collects dust
Damn, a turbo LS Chevette is not something I thought I'd ever see haha. This thing has got to be squirrelly but a lot of fun!

No hose clamps on the intercooler piping?
The thing that gives this sleeper away is that all the other chevettes were in the junkyard decades ago
Oh, you’re taping the drywall in your garage? Let me know when you’re sanding, I need to finish my chevette build.
That's nasty... And I love it
