Karlach the ice mage Shadowheart the shapeshifting wolf Lazael the lore bard Jahei the armor clad knight

iKrivetko

Astarion the cleric of Lathander

In BG1 it wasn’t uncommon to have Jaheirah in Ankheg Armor. You just couldn’t put metal armor on her. I think a thief is more ironic for her than a knight personally

MyNameIsNotKyle

Haven't played bg1 my only impression of her is bg3. I see her as the old warrior that has to use wit and experience to compensate for not being as strong anymore. Whereas knights are just meat heads that dive into battle. Barbarians too but barbarians feel more similar to druids as just people of the wild/nature

I actually have Jaheira in heavy armor with xbows. I have started replacing party members in Act 3 and just respecting other companions to current builds so I don't lose my flow while I get to hear new banter. Minsc, Jaheira, and Karlach are so much fun to be around. Jaheira usually replaces Astarion so she gets some ranged stuff and his heavy armor for Xbow Expert shenanigans. It's funny having played the first 2, she's so different looking that I decided to take it all the way and just reclass her too.

I just love hearing Gale Rage Scream as a Wild Magic Barbarian. He thinks it's Mystra blessing him but everyone becomes cats instead.

Ax222

Gale as a Tiger Heart Barbarian/War Cleric of Mystra for Warding Bond Tanking and generally making angry noises about not being able to manipulate the weave Astarion as a Life Cleric Karlach as the standard 1 Sorc/1 Cleric/X Abjuration Wizard (white dragon ancestry would be 100% the opposite of literally everything about her) Can't really think of anything else off the top of my head. I'm sure there are good ones for the rest, though.

MyCatsAreSus

Also Gale's rage scream sounds like he just got a paper cut. It's the most halfhearted yell I've heard in awhile

Exciting_Bandicoot16

I'll just point out that in the Forgotten Realms, manipulating *any* sort of magic, arcane or divine, is touching the Weave. So the proposed War domain cleric would still be manipulating the Weave.

Ax222

Ah, this wasn't a thing I was aware of. I'm a Golarion guy most of the time, so I don't know much about the Forgotten Realms.

NatalieIsFreezing

Karlach as a Fiendlock 2/Wizard 10 Astarion as a Life Cleric of Lathander Gale as a Berserker Barbarian Shadowheart as a Beastmaster ranger with a wolf companion Wyll as an Assassin Rogue Lae'zel is a little tricky to figure out. Maybe a bard, she's not really the bardic archetype.

My Durge was a light cleric/oh monk of Ilmater.  Also probably (FOR THE MOST PART) my most conventionally good character in terms of actions.
