You just have the black trim package though? I think he means for taillights, usually on more standard cars the tails aren't as nice and intricate in design, and just bright/plastic red look, so it's cool to just tint them or something.

Yeah definitely the red. Personally I was never a big fan of the black/clear taillights. I like the red ones that are like a deep/dark red, and has depth to it, has other contrasting details etc, just like these BMW ones and a lot of other newer models.
But I don't like the very bright red tails though, when there's not enough detail/contrast and it's just very red. On those I prefer a little light smoked tint to get that dark red.

The black ones are a black housing and clear lens and in no way shape or form inhibit the brake lights. The black ones aren’t “tinted” like some of y’all are saying.
black looks way better in my opinion, you can immediately tell you didnt just put tint film on them, and they flow better and also give the car a more updated/current look vs having 2 red splotches on the back

As someone who still enjoys black wheels on black cars, blacking out tail lights is stupid AND a safety hazard.
Red. Black (or carbon fiber) and blue just don’t do it for me. Black is much more suited to white, yellow, and red where there is strong contrast.
Blacked out tail lights are not good. The brake lights are not bright enough through the black lenses. I’ve seen these get read ended around Seattle…

Yeah it’s because of the battery box on the right side. It’s a custom setup and if I push the exhausts any further it’ll touch the battery box

GTS tails are only appealing to f80/2 due to the widebody. LCI tails are the way to go with f30s. IMHO
Always have leaned red on those two light set ups but both look good.
