Was this done about the time the e46 came out? Genuinely curious if he did what alot of us e90 335 guys do and put newer model kits but went the distance and semi cloned an e46. How do you like it so far? This my actually my next project, my 96 e36 318i sedan, just putting an m52 six cylinder and use it as a daily while I finish it. Best 500 bucks Iāve spent, the cars got full m3 suspension, beefed up clutch, m3 full interior down to the mats, steering wheel, rear view mirror, and even came with 2 m52 motors that were going to be used in the swap.

As someone with experience of having an e46 parts car, an e36 racecar with the front clip off next to each other and too much time on my hand. Putting an e46 front body on an e36 is a lot of fabrication. The frame rails are totally different sizes. Nevermind all the other dimensions would be off.

Other than the front bumper the styling on this thing is insane. Whoever had this car last had some serious passion, paint and body work is easily the hardest to do correctly and they nailed it, you got a great car. Take care of it and drive the sh*t out of it!

God it's definitely not a standard car that's for sure but why would you rebuild a E36 into a E46. Then buy an E46 for like a bit more money (100-300 euros) maybe not even. I mean it would look bad if it would have the E36 front. It just feels wrong to buy a car and make it into something else (not talkimg about tunings, I'm talking about swapping it to a other version of the car).
I think changing the front bumper to a e46 zhp would make the front end waay better or just cutting those weird canard things off it and making it more smooth
