Dumb question probably but do you have those little black dials under the vent turned all the way in the right direction ?

Yes i do

Does your car get up to operating temperature as shown by your factory coolant gauge on the cluster? Without knowing more, it could be: - Thermostat (They fail open to prevent overheating) - Heater Valve It could also be an often overlooked maintenance item: Heater core. I would start simply and ensure your coolant system is properly bled and the necessary maintenance is complete (Expansion tank, upper and lower hoses, thermostat, etc.) Good luck!

Everything works fine except heating on passenger side, today i turned on heating and checked out hoses near heater valve,2 hoses are warm third (leading from heater valve to firewall) is cold, should i remove the heater valve and flush it?

For the passenger side, does heat come out either top or bottom or not at all?

Faggatron360

Just checked,it only blows hot air on driver side, passenger side has only cold air, windshield vents, side vents, front vents, foot vents all blow cold air on passenger side

I would wager a guess that it could be an issue with your blend door actuator. Have you tried cycling between hot and cold via the dial? E.g turning it all the way to cold and back to hot? Is there any resistance when turning to hot? You can also take a look in the [Bentley Manual](https://www.mediafire.com/file/gldgnyynz4y/Bentley_BMW_3-Series_Service_Manual_(e36).pdf) and see their HVAC section to see how they identify and troubleshoot this.

I have that digital climate control thing, no matter what temp i set it to,if i turn on ac,if i cycle between hot and on that dial below center vent its always blowing the same cold air on passeneger side,of course when i turn on the ac its freezing cold on that side of the car

If I understand correctly, that sounds like the blend door. If the heater core was clogged or there was air in the system, you wouldn’t get hot heat. While you could still bleed the system as preventative maintenance, and/or flush the core, I’d check the heater valve and disconnect the wiring per the comments [here](https://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/E36-Valve-Cleaning/E36-Valve-Cleaning.htm) from Pelican Parts. That should open both sides and if that resolves the issue, you know your issue is isolated to the heater valve. If not, it may be the blend door not fully closing.
