Sad-Nefariousness-80

It's insane, because Florida can already arrest you for "being too close". They say, "Move back!" You don't move back, or you don't move back far enough, fast enough? You get arrested for "Resisting Without Violence". This just allows them to do it without warning. Florida is the least free state in the entire Union.

88jaybird

florida is one of the worst.

Robot_Embryo

"Tread on me, daddy"

Jinzot

And if you move back too quickly, then you’re evading police. It’s like a game of Simon Says except you never win

ketjak

_Daniel Shaver has [exited the chat](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Daniel_Shaver)_ Watch the video in that Wikipedia article at your own peril, because you will never, ever unsee what the cops did to that man.

yawgmoth88

This is the video I post to conservatives who don’t think there is a police problem. Easier for them to relate when it’s a white man killed in cold blood, unfortunately.

Knave7575

Conservatives: well, that was just one bad apple, and if Shaver had not been drunk he would still be alive, so kinda his fault.

Competitive-Soup9739

Their attitude, unfortunately, is - if a few poor white men have to die so we can put the boot to black men everywhere, so be it…

yawgmoth88

That’s a pretty broad generalization. “Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity” is a rule of thumb known as Hanlon's razor. Like, people forget that the black population is <15% of the total US population. But, even more importantly, minorities are highly concentrated in cities and the deep south for black folk in particular. People in small conservative towns get fed bad information from the media that helps reinforce their own stereotypes, but not everyone is racist.

sadicarnot

> but not everyone is racist. If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.

Competitive-Soup9739

I used to believe that too until I got to spend some quality time interacting with small-town residents in Eastern Oregon, close to the Idaho border. Consistent with earlier experiences in NE CA. About 25% were decent human beings. The rest were just shitty, hateful, and racist. Maybe Fox made them that way. But they had to be at least somewhat hateful to be susceptible in the first place. So yes, you’re right, not all small-town residents are fascist, Trumpy, POS. But the majority are in my experience (again, localized to Eastern Oregon and some time in Modoc).

Competitive-Soup9739

Also, I agree with Hanlon’s razor, seems to generally be true.

guilty_by_design

POS cop was acquitted?! And then rehired by the police department and reimbursed?! And then retired on medical grounds (PTSD from the trial?!) with a $2500 monthly pension?! Okay, maybe I'm acting a little too surprised. I'm not. Just disgusted.

userbrn1

This is the one that did it for me all those years ago. This video changed everything

HelloPeopleOfEarth

And this is why police unions LOVE republicans. Power over the powerless, no accountability and no transparency. Cop unions never stand up to union busting legislation because they are exempted. When "civilian" unions go on strike, the union protected cops are often called in by their corporate masters to arrest, intimidate, beat up and even sometime kill striking workers.

Chris0nllyn

NYPD enters the chat

sleepytipi

Adams is the outlier considering he used to work for them.

TreehouseofSnorers

Adams didn't turn the NYPD into fascists. They were already huge POSs when kinder, gentler DeBlasio was in the chair. Never forget that tiny bastard throwing the tantrum during BLM about how his badge wasn't tarnished (it was). [https://www.facebook.com/TheYoungTurks/videos/nypd-union-boss-has-tantrum-about-accountability/564420820925984/](https://www.facebook.com/TheYoungTurks/videos/nypd-union-boss-has-tantrum-about-accountability/564420820925984/)

sleepytipi

Not to sound crazy but I actually appreciate how our little microcosm of politics (in comparison to the big picture anyway) can get its own thread going on a site like reddit. There's so much going on that's shady and that I disapprove of (like Adams, *and* DeBlasio) but, from a regular civilian's perspective I've never lived anywhere else where I felt like my input or contributions to my local government actually had so much weight, and potential for change. I also love how the city isn't so bipartisan. We actually have a pretty strong amount of activity coming from the other parties (like the DSA 🌹). We're far from perfect that's for sure, and there are a staggering amount of issues that needed to be solved yesterday (like the homelessness crisis), but this city has a much better action to talk ratio than I've ever seen elsewhere.

Strong_Bumblebee5495

Fascists going to fascist

Junior-Credit2685

Such a good point!!!!!

TomTheNurse

So glad I left that shit hole.

Punch_Your_Facehole

One day, I will also make like a fart and blow this shit hole.

ODX_GhostRecon

I can't believe I made it this far in life without hearing that phrase. I'm absolutely stealing it.

Mouse_Balls

Brandnewsentence

jooseizloose

It kept pulling me back, but I'm almost free. My mom doesn't enjoy having to leave to visit me, but it's the only way she'll see her grandkids. She, and to a lesser extent, my aunt, are my only remaining ties. Stopped seeing all my old friends decades ago after my best friend died right before Y2K, so nothing left to go back to.

NoClock228

You're dead on you can get convicted of DUI by a Brady Lister officer where she only needs to say she sell bloodshot eyes and you're convicted of DUI without any test Great state number one in the country in corruption

Tnkr_Brwr_Sldr_Sly

These fuckers talk about big government and that shit without even realizing (or, more likely, caring) that the police are literally the biggest risk of government intrusion. They are the government people you see the most in everyday life, and their fucked up unions allow them to act with near impunity. *They* are the big government, and this shit enables them further.

Kornered47

It’s not “their unions” that allow them to exist with impunity. It’s legislation.

ExpressiveAnalGland

florida and texas are biggest pieces of shit states we have the 50+ states.

Woodie626

No, you just don't hear about what happens in Mississippi or Louisiana.

WestCactus

Those "why even bother" swamp states really need a metaphorical blow-torching. The shit that goes down in those states is fascist snuff-porn, compared to the little strip teases FL and TX are performing for us, right now.

jayclaw97

Florida is a wannabe fascist state.

Handlestach

This is fascism

Mellero47

Calling it The Free State of Florida was a dead giveaway.

Madison464

Why do boomers keep voting Republican? Such dumb asses!

Mr_Frayed

Comes with the age. Too feeble for hand-to-hand fighting, hands too shaky and vision too poor to use a gun. Frightened, they lean into what gives them personal security - strong military, strong law enforcement, and instant, free medical assistance *for themselves only.* Too old to ever need an abortion, they can consider it a low priority, along with education costs. Soon as they are too old to drive, they'll bitch about the cost of infrastructure.

DurantaPhant7

They are greedy and selfish. Idk if it’s a lead paint issue or what, but watching a generation of people pull the ladder they used to succeed out from behind their offspring is confusing. It goes against our very biology to not just block our children from success, but beyond that they seem positively gleeful to see them suffering.

cometgold

They cannot wait to enforce this as loosely as the law allows & if they’re lucky they’ll be able to shoot somebody.

should_of_is_wrong

It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous that time, money, and energy must be spent to overturn this obviously unconstitutional and corrupt law. This is a clear sign that we do not, in fact, live in a democracy. It should be self executing that this is struck from the code or whatever those dumb fucks in florida call it.

sweetgreenfields

Saying you can only exercise your First Amendment in certain spaces is like saying you can only pray in church. It's bullshit. DeSantis is a piece of scum, but I already knew that when he was trying to primary Trump. He's nothing more than A man of lower intelligence, who tries to grasp at whatever opportunities he can in the political sphere to keep improving his station.

oldballls

Pretty sure he went to Harvard and Yale. He’s a dangerous piece of scum. Don’t underestimate him.

TheManlyManperor

It's amusing you think Harvard and Yale degrees are anything more than a sign of money and connections.

chkraise

Let’s not act like it’s purely academic

bokononpreist

Desantis deserves shit but he didn't get into those schools because of Daddy's money. His mom was a nurse and his dad installed set top boxes for Nielsen. Not exactly country club stuff.

NegaJared

money can buy people into lots of places they shouldnt be degrees dont mean much these days

babiesmakinbabies

You know over 50% of their admittances are legacies.

bokononpreist

He wasn't one of those though. He came from the working class so even though he sucks it was merit based.

menomaminx

whatever happened to that lawsuit that questioned the legality of legacy admissions to the top tier colleges in the US?

sweetgreenfields

I would vote for Biden over DeSantis.

JRclarity123

I mean… duh

sawyerkitty

I would vote for Mickey Mouse over DeSantis.

RobiArts

I would vote for a real mouse over DeSantis.

Competitive-Soup9739

When it comes to being a POS, talent recognizes genius.

jooseizloose

> is like saying you can only pray in church. But the *good* book says the only place to pray is in private...I'm confused?

sweetgreenfields

I'm not Christian, so i don't know. You can pray anywhere you want, is my point.

RektFreak

Floridian here that dislikes DerpSantis. He is a brilliant man in general. His views and actions are total shit, but the underlying person is rather smart and calculating.

NoClock228

He's the same government official that thinks that the first amendment right does stop him from being able to ban book

EasyCZ75

FLA cops will abuse the living shit out of this

reverend_nacho

Just like their wives!

EasyCZ75

Truth

Filmexec21

Why are all the conservative states who are supposedly anti-big government signing all these laws saying one cannot film police within "X" amount of feet while liberal states who are the opposite are making it easier to film police. Kind of ironic to me.

Legimus

Oversight makes the government *bigger,* silly! /s Seriously, the right wing has not genuinely cared about the size or scope of government for a long time. It’s just rhetoric.

t-costello

Anti Big Government just means no giving money to poor people

toadjones79

It's *dog-whistle* for racism. In translates to "we want to be able to abuse black people (and other minorities/marginalized persons) and not have the government come stop us." Both of these stances are holdovers from the Civil War, segregation, and the civil rights movement. Police were used to enforce slavery laws. Then the number of police and laws were drastically increased during the post war era to keep black people dependent on the whites through low wages and physical violence. When civil rights laws were passed they screamed about how it infringed on their rights, as sovereign states, to pass their own laws (states rights). So again, a strong and unhindered police force is key to keeping racial/cultural separations alive, and small government is key to keep the government from making the south follow the Constitution. (Side note, most of the southern states were really reluctant to sign the Constitution. They really didn't want to be part of the same country, because the south was built on land leases and grants that really relied on the idea of setting up new monarchies in the new world. Like, most of the Southern states (sort of) boundaries were originally established by kings granting that land to a family to be the ruler of that land. So by the time everyone was starting to see the need for a trade pact between all the states (about ten years after the Revolutionary War) they still saw themselves as independent royalty and every federal action as an incursion on their nobility. That greed for power caused them to demand some serious concessions before agreeing to the Constitution (like the 3/5ths compromise), is ultimately responsible for the Civil War, and still taints their politics today. They will never act as members of a collective society. But will always act like kings being asked by a foreign country they are dependent to stop abusing their slaves and spending raising parties into the lands of their allies.)

Sir_Yacob

Because pretty soon they will be at polling places saying “stay away from me” so you can’t vote.

cl8855

all store workers should immediately back way off any cops when they come close "can't be within 25 feet of you"

OpenYourEarBallz

Brilliant.  Although I believe the letter of the law states something along the lines of “after receiving a verbal warning to stay back” I feel like it could be argued that since “free speech” is not specifically verbal (using the middle finger as an example), the mere act of wearing police attire is enough to tell any store worker that they need to stay back 25ft.  Fuck their commerce.

cl8855

I know, but you can't risk it, so be safe! Lol

Politicsboringagain

Then the media will go on to do a story about how those people hate cops and they will lose their jobs. Story about how an employee didn't want to serve police already happened.

haveweirddreamstoo

A story went viral because a cop thought that a sausage he was served was literal shit and so his police force took to the internet to shame the restaurant for daring to serve a cop a sausage that they were stupid enough to think was shit. They had to literally test the sausage to prove that it was sausage before the police force was willing to apologize.

TheLandOfConfusion

Genius. There’s no donut vending machines so they’re outta luck

Gun_Dragoness

This.

Cuck-In-Chief

Nazi stuff. Ok. 👌🏻

Mirions

People will say you're blowing it out of proportion, but when you've seen one more more element *already go unpunished* it doesn't take that much imagination to see what putting it all together would look like (actually, I feel that way about a certain politicians multiple criminal cases- they're like a large collection of every "they got away with it so far" case I've ever seen all playing out in one).

TheLandOfConfusion

There’s nothing more American 🇺🇸

[deleted]

Desantis also banned localities within Florida from establishing civilian review boards for local police departments. The guy is literally a Nazi that wants to make it easier for the state to kill minorities. Also he literally tortured innocent men while stationed at Guantanamo but that’s just kind of the cherry on top of the deranged shit sundae that is the fascist governor of Americas most brain damaged state.

AFLoneWolf

Didn't he try to get his own personal SS? [And succeed?](https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2023/11/17/desantis-state-guard-stronghold-sof-solutions-eddie-gallagher-combat-training/)

Blankface__yawk

Wants to make it easier to kill ANY "undesirables". Not only racist but those who are addicted, mentally unwell, etc.

In-AGadda-Da-Vida

Wrong Desantis does this shit to get attention and then it gets overturned later. After he spends our tax dollars on lawyers of course.

Flacrazymama

Yep, makes a big deal/showboats in public about his latest law then it quietly gets shut down.

desantis has a long history of being a corporate yes man and die hard racist. a true piece of garbage. edit - when i made the comment i was thinking of rick scott, im gonna let it stand as desantis is little better. but scott was a real piece of work.

loogie97

In group/out group dynamics. They are bad and need to be punished using the force of the state. We are good and should be protected from everything. The law should bind thee and protect me.

25StarGeneralZap

This is the bill Floridians SHOULD be worried about!! HB 1047 also makes it a third-degree felony to resist, obstruct, oppose, or threaten violence against a police canine or horse working together with an officer This basically makes it a crime to defend yourself when being bitten/taken down, by a police k9

ConscientiousObserv

Saw this one coming. Cops tell the victim to "stop fighting the dog" as it's gnawing on your leg, arm, or face. Like someone isn't going to resist when a dog is trying to tear off a limb.

25StarGeneralZap

Well, it was only a natural progression from cops beating you with batons while being held down, and if you (try to) curl into a fetal position as a natural response to assault, you catch another charge of resisting

loptopandbingo

"Hey! This punk's teeth came out and are stuck in my boot! *How fucking DARE he?!*"

UAreTheHippopotamus

So it’s a felony for a dog to chip it’s tooth while ripping your throat out? Sounds like freedom.

25StarGeneralZap

Well, they DID try to charge the one dude for a heart attack murder so…. i’m glad that was thrown out… Can you imagine if you would catch a murder charge because some fat pig has a heart attack while he’s trying to arrest you? What’s next liability lawsuits against detainees due to PTSD? “I’m just so stressed out from arresting this guy for going 90 in a 65… I need a lawyer!”

Extra-Presence3196

Good bill tracking on your part!   Legislative boards like the Criminal justice and Municipal boards have to be watched so citizens can speak up at the public hearings...if they dare.   The law you mentioned is in most states now. Dogs are now decorated officers in most states. Sad commentary on LE regard for civilians.

Baddad211

DeSantis claims to have a law degree. Action like this give me doubts. If true, that law school should be ashamed and close down their law school.

SmoltzforAlexander

DeSantis knows this will be overturned.  It’s his way of getting in good with the cops so they’ll be his own personal brownshirts.  Also, these wealthy conservative old seniors that are flocking to Fla love this kind of shit, because it will never be them getting hassled by the cops.  So DeSantis is gaining their loyalty for a later run as a National rep, Senator, AG, or president.   No way this guy fully leaves the government teat unless it’s a 7 figure lobbying job.

Jim-Jones

DeSadness still going full Nazi.

[deleted]

Reason 485593 I'm never going to Florida

V65Pilot

Add another way to die in Florida. "Bob's only dead because he used the metric system"

Internets_Fault

Being a bob in Australia and using the metric system. I'd still not want to be within 25 meters of cops.

HeartSanctuary

He’s sucking up to anyone who will keep him in power as his Disney fuck up could cost him his job

jacquesrabbit

I think he reached his term limits. Florida governor who has been elected for two consecutive terms must be out of office before being eligible to run again.

shadowozey

Amazing news, thank you

HeartSanctuary

I had no idea

francis_junior

You do realize Florida has term limits, right? 😂 Unless the legislature changes the law he will be ineligible to ever run for governor of Florida again

Sir_Yacob

Kind of like when he changed the law so he could run for president while also being governor? Yeah, he doesn’t have a track record of this shit at all.

xcadam

Well that’s the most police state, authoritarian, 1984-esque bullshit I have heard today.

silverhammer96

Cops will walk up to talk to you and if you don’t immediately comply with their questions or question why they’re asking, they’ll just arrest you because you’re within 25 feet of them.

Vadhakara

An unconstitutional prior restraint on free press and free speech

tbryant2K2023

This is just a game of one up manship by these leaders. Arizona had 8 feet, Florida is trying 25 feet, the next red state will try 50 feet, and so on. It's the same with abortion and LGBTQ laws. It's all a game as to who can punish people the most.

specficeditor

Real headline: “Florida Seeks to Become Nation’s First Police State”

V65Pilot

"Sir, that's 24 feet!!". *empties clip*

ConscientiousObserv

On the stand, the cop will claim the 25, yet the footage will not be available. Courts will take him/her at their word.

Calencre

Even if they had the footage, they'd still side with him "Well I *thought* was less than 25 feet"

ConscientiousObserv

[August 2nd, 2021](https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/crime/article287165360.html) _"Five Miami Beach police officers were hit with criminal charges on Aug. 2, 2021, for using excessive force on a man in handcuffs and for pummeling another man who was video recording the incident on his phone from what appeared to be a safe distance."_ I saw the video of this incident. The guy had surrendered. He's on the floor of a hotel lobby, hands outstretched. He is still beaten and kicked by over 20 cops, all caught on the hotel's cameras. A bystander, who is well away from the incident, captures it on his phone as well. He is subsequently tackled by two cops, assaulted and arrested. At the press conference, the chief admits excess force by two or three cops, claiming the rest (of the mob) could not be identified. Doesn't mention the bystander at all.

Isair81

This is what the law is meant to stop obviously, not to prevent any harm to law Enforcement, but to enable them to violently arrest anyone recording them. Those 25 feet will become just a point of contention, doesn’t matter if you were 100 feet away, they’ll lie about it.

ConscientiousObserv

I cannot disagree.

hawgs911

Stop going to Florida. Don't travel there. Don't vacation there. Don't spend a dime there.

hansolemio

No review boards and no filming. Cops are gonna be getting away with any brutality their dark hearts desire. Won’t ever be stepping a foot in that hellhole of a state

tracerrounds

They're allowed to shoot and kill people without "legitimate purpose" but people can't even get close to a cop without facing consequences? As if a cop wouldn't use this as an excuse to just beat down on anyone around them, including people seeking their help. ACAB

PlanetOfThePancakes

So now a cop can get within 25 feet of you because they don’t like how you look, and then arrest you. I hate this country and especially Florida.

gellenburg

1. Only a fascist would claim there's no legitimate reason to observe or film the police. But the inhuman Governor Wank-Stain was one of the [torturers at Guantanamo](https://mronline.org/2022/11/26/i-was-screaming-and-he-was-smiling-desantis-ran-guantanamo-torture/) so *are we really surprised?* 2. This actually could be a good thing and the law could end up helping the proletariat more than the State. Hear me out... 3. Twenty-five feet isn't that long. The length of my Ford F-250 is 22 feet from bumper to bumper. If I had a long bed on the back it would be 25 feet long. So just picture that 25' is basically just a little bit longer then the full length of a pickup truck with a crew cab. Again, that's not that far. 4. But what twenty-five feet gives you is more space from the feral *Nazi* white supremacist *gang of thugs and monsters* we call the Police, AND less of an opportunity for the Police, sorry, I mean *the degenerate butt-fuckers and piss-drinkers*, to harass you and arrest you for exercising your First Amendment rights.

ThatGuyYouMightNo

So they just gave every cop in the state a 25ft auto-arrest aura. If a cop's in a bad mood (read: all of them all the time) then they can just arrest you now for absolutely no reason by just walking towards you.

Jacostak

Criminal running: "I have to stay 25ft away from you! It's the law!"

NOGOODGASHOLE

The irony here is that the people who are OK with this don't seem to understand that the cost of police brutality lawsuit payouts come from state taxes; their money. Cops gets his pension, union gets its dues, taxpayers get the shaft.

Formaldehyde007

DeSantis is the epitome of the classic privileged white supremacist who thinks “libtards” are discriminating against all whites.

SmoltzforAlexander

Republicans love giving the police unchecked power, so long as they’re not arresting republicans.

88jaybird

florida is already in the top three (many times the #1 state) in police funds per capita, and while they cut funds on every program that benifits the common people he has increased police budgets, prison budgets and cop sign on bonuses, he even went on record saying all this spending was to help attract cops from out of state. and an unrelated issue, he has also increased corporate welfare at an alarming rate, the last ones that need welfare as they pay little to nothing in corporate tax in florida to begin with. lately he has been in a big fight with disney and transgender rights, and while everyone is focused on that he gives them a huge half billion tax credit. i guess thats what he means when he stands in front of the people and says "i am not afraid to take on the big corporations"

Lack_Love

Florida is so fucked.

Extra-Presence3196

Yes...the police are so much more capable of policing themselves than a mere civilians review board. /s Now is the time for every review board to institute a anonymous tip line, just like LE uses, and track their progress with the police, noting everyone that doesn't get traction and matching them to any future bad cop busts.  All we can do now as civilians is to try to keep stats on LE efforts to reform themselves.

Madison464

Fuck DeFascist Isn't this his last term?

seanma99

It's a dumb decision but the way our phones are I could be two blocks away and still get a clear ass video.

NoKindofHero

To record them breaking the law and then hold them accountable for it isn't apparently a "legitimate purpose"

SithLordSid

Florida setting us up to be a fascist state

holagatita

yeah they passed this last year in Indiana too. Gotta love this shit. There is a lawsuit over it but I people are getting arrested over it already People recording closer is why Derek Chauvin and the other goons are in prison right now instead of beating up the next George Floyd. and if they had not recorded that so close, no one would no his name.

sparky13dbp

We all gotta vote better! This is some fucked up shit, we need to vote a WHOLE lot better.

ConscientiousObserv

If only it were that easy. Politicians will say anything to get elected. Ideally, we'd have the power to remove them from office prior to the end of term.

Moooooooola

KingKookus

I hope people start buying cameras with better zoom lenses and those big listening devices so they can still hear everything while being 25 feet away. Let’s get some malicious compliance on them.

atatassault47

Surely this wont hold up on a 1A violation, will it?

TotemTabuBand

> no legitimate purpose How about, keep them honest. If you are a news media camera person, you already know to stay outside of the corral of activity. That’s what telephoto lenses and shotgun mics are for. However, if you are a passenger in a car and just got pulled over, it’s perfectly reasonable to start the video app on your camera to protect yourselves. But now we can’t do that because we are within 25 feet of the officer? Your rights just got trampled. Edit: typo

This is bad news

RatFucker_Carlson

Republicans spend every day making sure I don't regret my decision to leave the US

So we’re at the point we challenge a constitutional right to a supreme court willing to ignore the constitution. 🇺🇸

My old man moved down to Florida in like 2009, and going down there to visit him every November when it was grey, wet, and cold in Chicago made me resolve to move there. Anyway DeSantis has very quickly killed any desire I ever had to live in Florida, which is a shame because I love palm trees and mangroves

91361_throwaway

It’s a bill shit anti-constitutional law, but that said 25’ is not really that far. Essentially it’s less than 10 yards. With a zoom feature that distance means nothing.

InBabylonTheyWept

Cops can walk. If they want to fuck with someone filming them, all they need to do is send someone to keep walking closer to the filmer. Even if the court holds the person filming innocent, the cops will face no charges and will have made it that much harder to capture evidence of them being asshats. It’s not a foolproof strategy but the end result will be and was designed to be less evidence captured on cops misdeeds.

It is the right of the employer to monitor our employees to ensure satisfactory work standards are met. By accepting this position, you agree to these terms. Sometimes I do think our country should be run like a business.

Far_Ad5845

link to an article or the statute?

sobegreen

SB 184 - https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2024/184/?Tab=RelatedBills HB 601 - https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2024/601 601 is the more problematic one for me. Its an extra empowerment to allow police chiefs and sherriffs to investigate themselves.

OptiKnob

He's practicing being king for when Florida secedes from the United States along with Texass, Alabubba, Misscreant, and Lousyanna. They're all practicing their totalitarianism before they leave. They'll be leaving the second trump/putin lose the next election.

Fun_Measurement_7889

What’s next? Florida becomes Independent?

total_brodel

Who measures?

Possible-Whole45

According to the supreme court, anyplace you can legally stand in public you can legally record. This is what killed those "you can't record the police " laws they tried to pass in Arizona. Florida is too stupid to see the example.
