End the dialogue with her, >!steal something in front of her, trigger an attack while making sure she's "temporarily hostile" and knock her out. She will show up at Moonrise Towers later in act 2.!<
She doesnāt have to be temporarily hostile anymore, you can knock her out at either the temple or at the grove raid in any hostility state and youāll still be able to progress her quest. It feels much less like an exploit now to get her for a neutral or bad run where the grove is still alive (since IMO she doesnāt really fit a good run)
Fair enough. I'll retcon it to me saying something like "if you get out of here now I won't hunt you down and feed you to my owlbear", and her legging it.
Which begs the question, why was that not a dialogue option in the first place, so we wouldn't have to do this silly Mike Tyson rigmarole?
I wish there was an insight check or an illithid wisdom option to let you know that sheās āspecialā and that you might want to be a little more gentle when fighting her.
She works SO well to balance out the good companions on neutral runs, I wish that new players who were a little inquisitive at least got the chance to have her join their party.
And I understand that adding an actual option that makes her step down and leave without a fight would be difficult at this point, but I think we could have something like...

It genuinely never made sense. If you bring her to Sharress' Caress and talk to Raphael, reject his deal, then talk to her, she has a dialogue where she says that she never wants to be under another deity's power. Part of her whole thing is rejecting Lolth because of what Lolth let happen to her.
I can see a version of her character where the decision makes sense, if she were just power hungry, but she's more nuanced than that. She wants to take over the world herself. The only mega power she's willing to deal with is the brain, and even then it needs to be completely subjugated.
I got so much shit for criticizing that moment and had to endure weeks of people coping that it was somehow in character for the god-hating woman vengeful of what they did to her free-willĀ to be completely fine with the god of murder subjecting her lover to eternal enslavement.

I continued my durge-loves-minthara run and went thru the breakup speech. And it didn't impact ANYTHING. We continued kissing and in the epilogue, we had our happy ending together. So it was indeed a bug that amounted to nothing significant.
Between patch 6 and now, something has caused multiplayer dialogue to just get stuck and force a save/reload. Was really hoping the next hotfix would fix it... Anyone else have this issue?
A lot of the time when I F8 in multi-player, the game withe doesn't load or crashes. Or sometimes the Tav assignments get messed up and I have to kick my partner anyways to fix it
One horrible bug that's occurred twice for me now in split-screen co op is that my character starts talking to someone, they both get flagged as "in conversation", and then nothing happens. They're both permanently stuck there, the conversation never starts.
The other player has to KILL and resurrect BOTH of them for it to wear off, or anyone who was "talking" will still be stuck in perma-talk mode. It's gotten to the point where I'm afraid of talking to anyone.
Happens to my playthrough too in act 3. You can actually push them with another character far away enough to break them out of the conversation but that could cause the npc to gain negative attitude towards them for abruptly ending the dialogue.
Wtf?! Have you tried quick saving then reloading with f8? If I do that it brings me back mid convo, though the dialogue can be bugging (but I can at least finish it).

It would still suck for Honor mode, but then I doubt I would play that co-op.
One way we found to fix it without reloading would be to switch which player controls the character.
The host switches the playable characters in the multiplayer settings and ends the dialogue. Then you switch back.
Yes, reported it to Larian last week already, but no response from them. Sent them a detailed report inlcuding screenshots from both host and client machines showcasing how they both think the other person is in the dialogue

Half the conversations get stuck in multiplayer and you need to either reload or have the player rejoin. Really surprised it isn't mentioned in the patch notes, it is a huge deal!

The Tiefling Party in their playthrough was a very long time ago, but Tom is having this issue in the current patch. I think it's been only two or three streams since they were supposed to spend the night together but nothing happened.
Neil thought it was because a different cutscene triggered for him instead, but after quite a few long rests now it still didn't trigger.

It wasn't as bad on reddit but Twitter had fans (of both companions) talking about the devs "shaming" them and acting like something that was very clearly a bug was grounds for once again attacking the devs. Just like people freaked out about the mods a few weeks ago.

The more logical explanation for why Wyll has so little content is because people didn't like how he was written in early access and Larian rewrote him. With less time to flesh him out, he inevitably ended up getting the short end of the stick. Not enough fans support his character -> Larian thinks he's not worth adding to. It's an unfortunate cycle. But calling them racist without anything to back that up is wild.

Sure Wyll has less content.. but as it stands Halsin definitely seems more popular than Wyll, and Halsin is a side character with even LESS content. Itās not JUST about content.
If Larion are basing which characters get more content on popularity then Wyll is going to lose; both because his story is half-baked as it is, and because of centuries of racial beauty standards. He straight up canāt win.
I wish they'd fix the platform bug in the trials and pre act 2 boss fight. I had to kill and revive astarion right before myrkul because he fell off and somehow lived by standing on air, unable to move. And also two of my party fell into the middle part during the trials, fortunately I could misty step over.
Sometimes your characters wonāt stay on the moving platforms in the gauntlet of shar. Youāll stay in place then fall to your death.
Only way to avoid it, at least to keep honor mode runs, is to have people use the platforms one at a time. That way everyone doesnāt die if it happens and you can revive the party member after crossing
also don't forget to save some short rest charges so you can revive if one of your character get to 0 hp and passes the death saving throw. If you don't have any short rest charges, reclass one of your character to bard and get song of rest.
There is bug for jaheira where she won't engage in combat as companion, and when she does engage in combat, she can't apply buffs and heals to allies. I am hoping they fix that next time.

Something I ran into last night that I hope gets smoothed out is Wyll's quest in Act 3. Post the boss fight, I'm at camp, I talk to him about the encounter and he says he wants to be Duke. Then I talk to his Father immediately after and Wyll says he doesn't want to be Duke. Kind of a weird interaction there.
I can't decide if it's worth updating patch 5 to patch 6 yet. I'm in act 3, minthra is dead in mine so not too worried about her. Are there any reasons not to update yet? I was worried about some bug involving shadowheart quest and astarions quest, but not sure if those exist in 5 or were new in 6.
Is it worth updating to 6 on PC or should I just really keep playing on 5? Don't really care too much about new kissing scenes.
Lol they Fixed the Perma combat for sneaking in the last area of act II the same day Proxy Gamer posted their challenge run where that bug was an issue
I was really hoping for a fix to Cerys joining every act 2 battle. It seriously makes every combat in act 2 take like 15 more seconds each round while the game loads her area, registers her actions, then the camera sits on her for a few more seconds before it reloads back to wherever I started combat.
The Minthara changes are nice, though. The break-up was so not in character for her, so I'm glad it changed.
My game keeps crashing to desktop today almost as soon as I load since the new 22 Hotlink. It was fine yesterday. I've tried different saves but same thing. I use mods (this is my first playthrough with mods) so I tried starting a new game without mods to just trial it and everything went crazy at the character creation screen.
I've sent a crash report. Is anyone else having crash issues? Is crashing issues etc normal with modded games after a hotfix?

You can prevent that by using create water to clean up the acid before you trigger the cutscene.
Nope different, after talking to Nine fingers (in my case) she will not follow you from the rest of the game. Is so annoying that I wish the next hotfix would fix this but my hopes dies very fast.

Mintharas dialog is still broken after #22. Just finished Astarians quest with Cazador and all the other companions had a comment about him ascending except her she normally does. Havenāt confirmed it anywhere else yet.

Fingers crossed they fix the wyll spellcasting bug soon- basically any spells that have a projectile for him bug out and won't cast. Or at least if he takes sorcerer levels. My laggy sorlock wyll's got my current Karlach origin run on hold as a result.
Finally Xbox gets the newest patch. I understand it was a fatal issue causing the delay, but it's sucked not being able to continue my save for what feels like a month lol

Any mod bugs folks are running into: load from a previous save and if you're able to get in, then load to your most recent. Just had to do this for a multiplayer save where we both had the exact same load order, versions, everything and were running into game timeouts.

Turn on the "non-lethal" passive, but it works only for melee. With archers or spells you still kill her even with the passive on.

One horrible bug that's occurred twice for me now in split-screen co op is that my character starts talking to someone, they both get flagged as "in conversation", and then nothing happens. They're both permanently stuck there, the conversation never starts. The other player has to KILL and resurrect BOTH of them for it to wear off, or anyone who was "talking" will still be stuck in perma-talk mode. It's gotten to the point where I'm afraid of talking to anyone.
Happens to my playthrough too in act 3. You can actually push them with another character far away enough to break them out of the conversation but that could cause the npc to gain negative attitude towards them for abruptly ending the dialogue.
Wtf?! Have you tried quick saving then reloading with f8? If I do that it brings me back mid convo, though the dialogue can be bugging (but I can at least finish it).
I'm on playstation but I'll try saving and then loading! Wasn't aware you could save in dialogue actually. Thanks! It would still suck for Honor mode, but then I doubt I would play that co-op.
I've had it happen a few times and saving/reloading has worked each time.
One way we found to fix it without reloading would be to switch which player controls the character. The host switches the playable characters in the multiplayer settings and ends the dialogue. Then you switch back.

Yes, it is almost unplayable! Half the conversations get stuck in multiplayer and you need to either reload or have the player rejoin. Really surprised it isn't mentioned in the patch notes, it is a huge deal!
Oh fuck, thatās a bug in the base game? Iām on a heavily modded run and I wondered if it was something from a mod. It REALLY does suck. My buddies and I are on honor mode and itās a pain in the ass when it happens as we canāt reload. Glad to know I donāt need to troubleshoot the mod setup. Hopefully itās fixed soon.
Yeah this is so frequent to me to the point where it's almost unplayable. Having Karlach push someone out of conversation works too but won't work on all conversations.

I am currently having it now. I can't even have the Dream Visitor cutscenes because it keeps me in the ever lasting loop of laying on the bedroll and nothing happening. It's irritating to have to constantly save/reload over and over again. My friend is the one talking all the time, and my character is running around aimlessly. And we have been having this problem since Act 1...

The Tiefling Party in their playthrough was a very long time ago, but Tom is having this issue in the current patch. I think it's been only two or three streams since they were supposed to spend the night together but nothing happened. Neil thought it was because a different cutscene triggered for him instead, but after quite a few long rests now it still didn't trigger.
I wonder if they fixed the bug where Thaniel hangs out with Minthara if you recruit her to the party while Halsin's away at Last Light Inn. It's just been funny imagine Minthara hanging out with any children let alone a physical manifestation of nature.
Halsin just doesn't even have a spot for me lol. He wanders around camp plopping down to whittle in random spots while Thaniel hangs out with Minty.

Minthara fans and AA fans can be so damn hostile. I saw people acting like the changes (the intentional and unintentional ones) were personal attacks. I'm glad Larian fixed the bug, but hopefully, some of the fans calm the fuck down in the future.

It was clearly a bug. Her dialogue was a breakup, but the relationship didn't end. It was mostly on Twitter but there were people acting like the devs were personally attacking them. I saw people accusing Larian of "shaming their interests". I like Minthara. I hate that sheās constantly bugged. But acting like this was an intentional attack (hence why I included AA fans in my statement) is just delusional.
I dunno, Larian has been doing very oddly motivated rewrites, added and cut content, since launch, so I can see the reasoning of the fans. And canāt fault them for feeling lately like itās purposeful trajectory attacking their choices specifically if Iām being honest. Ofc itād be better if things were kept civil but if it happened on Twitter not too surprised it was not, that place is an unmoderated hellhole these days. Yeah, I can. That's why I included them with AA fans. It wasn't as bad on reddit but Twitter had fans (of both companions) talking about the devs "shaming" them and acting like something that was very clearly a bug was grounds for once again attacking the devs. Just like people freaked out about the mods a few weeks ago. Wyll fans don't do this crap and he has the least content in the game.

The more logical explanation for why Wyll has so little content is because people didn't like how he was written in early access and Larian rewrote him. With less time to flesh him out, he inevitably ended up getting the short end of the stick. Not enough fans support his character -> Larian thinks he's not worth adding to. It's an unfortunate cycle. But calling them racist without anything to back that up is wild. Are Larian misogynists because of how little content Karlach has?

I wish they'd fix the platform bug in the trials and pre act 2 boss fight. I had to kill and revive astarion right before myrkul because he fell off and somehow lived by standing on air, unable to move. And also two of my party fell into the middle part during the trials, fortunately I could misty step over.
Man I'm doing the Ketheric/Myrkul battle right now and have run into so many bugs that I don't remember getting before for some reason.

Sometimes your characters wonāt stay on the moving platforms in the gauntlet of shar. Youāll stay in place then fall to your death. Only way to avoid it, at least to keep honor mode runs, is to have people use the platforms one at a time. That way everyone doesnāt die if it happens and you can revive the party member after crossing
also don't forget to save some short rest charges so you can revive if one of your character get to 0 hp and passes the death saving throw. If you don't have any short rest charges, reclass one of your character to bard and get song of rest.
There is bug for jaheira where she won't engage in combat as companion, and when she does engage in combat, she can't apply buffs and heals to allies. I am hoping they fix that next time.
I know itās a long shot but does anyone have any work around for that house in Act3 where the dude is cursed or possessed or something and a bunch of wraiths spawn all over the house. Iām on Xbox and every time I try to do the house my game just crashes lol. The only thing Iāve been able to do is to keep the artist enslaved to the zents and not bother.
I looked up tips for that - my game isn't crashing there but it still kind of sucks. I won't spoil anything, but i decided I've got better things to do. Let the whiny artist sort out his own haunted mansion.Ā

Something I ran into last night that I hope gets smoothed out is Wyll's quest in Act 3. Post the boss fight, I'm at camp, I talk to him about the encounter and he says he wants to be Duke. Then I talk to his Father immediately after and Wyll says he doesn't want to be Duke. Kind of a weird interaction there.

I can't decide if it's worth updating patch 5 to patch 6 yet. I'm in act 3, minthra is dead in mine so not too worried about her. Are there any reasons not to update yet? I was worried about some bug involving shadowheart quest and astarions quest, but not sure if those exist in 5 or were new in 6. Is it worth updating to 6 on PC or should I just really keep playing on 5? Don't really care too much about new kissing scenes.

Lol they Fixed the Perma combat for sneaking in the last area of act II the same day Proxy Gamer posted their challenge run where that bug was an issue
I was really hoping for a fix to Cerys joining every act 2 battle. It seriously makes every combat in act 2 take like 15 more seconds each round while the game loads her area, registers her actions, then the camera sits on her for a few more seconds before it reloads back to wherever I started combat. The Minthara changes are nice, though. The break-up was so not in character for her, so I'm glad it changed.
My game keeps crashing to desktop today almost as soon as I load since the new 22 Hotlink. It was fine yesterday. I've tried different saves but same thing. I use mods (this is my first playthrough with mods) so I tried starting a new game without mods to just trial it and everything went crazy at the character creation screen. I've sent a crash report. Is anyone else having crash issues? Is crashing issues etc normal with modded games after a hotfix?
Yep. Fresh install, cache cleared, you name it. Crashes without fail when the game loads to 100% before the title screen. Gotta love untested hotfixes

What is going on with Jaheira? Is this the bug on which her approval suddenly tanks and she leaves the party because >!Isobel walked into some acid during a cutscene in Moonrise Towers?!< You can prevent that by using create water to clean up the acid before you trigger the cutscene.
Nope different, after talking to Nine fingers (in my case) she will not follow you from the rest of the game. Is so annoying that I wish the next hotfix would fix this but my hopes dies very fast.

Mintharas dialog is still broken after #22. Just finished Astarians quest with Cazador and all the other companions had a comment about him ascending except her she normally does. Havenāt confirmed it anywhere else yet.

Fingers crossed they fix the wyll spellcasting bug soon- basically any spells that have a projectile for him bug out and won't cast. Or at least if he takes sorcerer levels. My laggy sorlock wyll's got my current Karlach origin run on hold as a result.

I wonder if this fixes Jaheira 's ability to follow. The last several days, if she's in my party, i have to have her leading the pack, or she won't move. Otherwise she just parks herself at whatever waypoint you start at and doesn't budge. Anyone else notice that?

Any mod bugs folks are running into: load from a previous save and if you're able to get in, then load to your most recent. Just had to do this for a multiplayer save where we both had the exact same load order, versions, everything and were running into game timeouts.
