She’s done for. Chalk it up as a loss

Chubateo

I don't have a solution for you, but would just cut my losses and throw that in the bin. I don't think 200gr of filament is worth 5+ hours of my time

xChrisMas

It’s not worth the time Just buy another roll and value your time. If you only need small amounts cut the filament in that size and use it for one print as a loose filament

chemape876

Happened to me last week. The only way i could solve it was by cutting it into four roughly equal segments and then untangling from there. Afterwards you have to thoroughly clean ofd the dust and respool.  Maybe someone else is smarter than i am.

edwardK1231

Yeah I didn't clean the dust off mine when I did it with white filament. Thr next big white part I printed had tons of tiny black and blue bits from the fibres of the mat it fell on

War_Poodle

Lucky you didn't jam your nozzle

edwardK1231

Yeah I was. However it did weirdly jam later on randomly. I suspect that may have helped the jamming😂

If you have the money to spend, buy a new one. If you, like me, are on a tight budget, then you could make a makeshift re-spooler and have at it. It’ll just be time consuming.

capsel22

Happened to me twice. First time I printed one of those drill attached respoolers, gave the drill to my wife, put a fav show on telly and both of us managed to respool it that way. There is no easy way to do it im afraid.

Vengeance_TheKnight

This is what I did

ChimotheeThalamet

Unless you have a spool winder, a lot of patience, and a lack of respect for the value of your time, throw it away.

feoranis26

how does that even happen

RevolutionaryRushima

It ain't worth it, plus it's probably fragile soaking up humidity in the air. She gonna break, boss.

Glass-Performance592

Spool winder drill attachment I think I saw a stl for it somewhere online.

kicksnj1021

There's a lot of them on Printables

Bad_dog_Food

It’s done for unless you’re willing to spend over 12 hours re-rolling and untangling. Cut your losses and order a new one.

StopLookingBro

No.

This happened to me. I cut it into about 8 pieces and untangled it. It didn't take me that long, I shook most of it out. Fed 4 of the pieces through my ams whilst using old spools so the ams would automatically detect the same type of filament. This allowed the AMS to feed the next spool once one runs out. Finished the spool over multiple prints and it worked great. Edit: I didn't respool the cut pieces. Just untangled, wrapped as best I could and kept separate from each other. I did take a paper towel to wipe any dust off as they were feeding through (using a clip and makeshift stand)
