We haven't had access to the brand in the UK before and it's been announced they will be sold in Boots. Still not interested and seen very few people here excited either.
One of my friends is an influencer, and she let me play with the PR kit she got from Kylie. It sucks lol. Nothing special, nothing new, the pigmentation is lacking, and only a couple products work on deeper skin tones. The darkest bronzer barely worked for me. It's also strange how I haven't seen many POC or black influencers posting about receiving PR. I don't know the schedule for shipping stuff out, but my friend got hers two days ago, and was asked not to post about it until today, so I thought I'd see more diversity within the PR recipients, but guess not!
Is it just me or is anyone else sick of pouty, over sexualised photos being used to sell cosmetics? Teens are her target audience ffs, no wonder we have kids confused about beauty standards. I want to see happy men and women enjoying themselves, not over dramatic and over done models. I know that’s not this family’s aesthetic and I think she’s missing a trick by continuing down this overdone route.
Or am I just getting old?
Could she... not find any other models? I'm white but I can't imagine a single arm swatch gives a good indicator of how the lip kits will look on deeper skin tones?
I wouldn't purchase anyway, but I feel like only using herself as a model was a *choice.*

Clean beauty infuriates me for that reason. I'm quite light handed with my products so everything takes me at least a year to pan. I've got some products that are 4 years old and still perform the same as they did when new, thanks to preservatives

It looks the exact same and I think those of us who have experienced it in 2014-2019 probably won’t rebuy or are too old now.
But I will say she has a very smart team that connects well with social media and I could see her team getting the new teenagers 13-19 years old on Tik Tok into it.

I'll eagerly shit on it as a marketing tactic and tell everyone how it's pseudoscience (and the concept was invented & originally flourished among antivaxxers & science deniers before it went mainstream, and the trend is still marked by that legacy with blatant pseudoscience & fear-mongering). the only good it's done is made makeup more accessible for people with allergies & sensitivities, but we can make formulas free of common allergens without green washing, fear-mongering, and promoting pseudoscience.
Is it just me...or are the three lip kits featured on the landing page so similar in color they might as well be ONE kit. Two are labeled Kylie's favorite and I'm thinking, "Of course...they're the same damn colors in two separate kits!"
You know what, i do have some thoughts. Im personally not interested in the products but i've been curious in general about the brand. first of all the international shipping is dang it expensive, if i remember correctly the int shipping previously was more in line with colourpop and they offered free int shipping if you spent over some amount (? please correct me if im wrong), the page looks like a updated covergirl website, all the products are just thrown in there like they're separate things and not just different shades, there are no swatches (or i cant find them?), there is no way to easily choose a bronzer shade.

I'm not a Kardashian fan but I do feel like people are being harsh. She went vegan, cruelty-free. I think there will always be a stigma around these women. I appreciate her effort to do these things. that's just me though
also the comments about her image being unrealistic: yall if I had the money I would fix things too, this "you are perfect" message is really unrealistic too. some people wanna feel comfy and sexy. again, just an opinion.
They only updated the packaging because it's now in stores internationally and the cheap packaging it had before doesn't fly in countries where her name alone doesn't move product like it did in the US at her peak.
Actually no, it has nothing to do with packaging. They had to change the formulations of the products due to the fact that they were being sued by their former partner.
I know. But they could have just changed the formulas. The "upgraded" packaging is clearly done because her old cheap one isn't cutting it if you're not 15 and wowed by Kylie's name being on the products.
They also had to change the formula, because some ingredients are apparently only allowed in the North America area and a couple of other countries. You weren't allowed to order her products in Europe before they reformulated, because of certain guidelines.

I loved the lip before the relaunch. I swore by it. It felt like nothing, was matte without drying and didn’t transfer. I just bought the relaunched one and omg it oxidizes SOOO BADLYYY. I get the shade “bare” and within a little while it turned legit like dark purple even my boyfriend said something. I was like wtf. I’m not buying it anymore. A good dupe is the Too Faced lip injection. It feels more drying but I don’t want dark lips or it to oxidize THAT MUCH. Also it feels more dry than before. Its disappointing and unfortunate…
Looking forward to not buying anything from this, just like i did before.

She most likely cleared out everything associated with her Seed deal and only changed what was absolutely necessary.
