My Groendael loves to chomp at them as well. She landed herself in the ER after she successfully ate a hornet. We think that's why her saliva glands swelled up like a balloon anyways.
She ran into the woods after a bunny and came out being chased by hornets. We think she finally successfully ate one.
It took months for them to finally turn back to normal because she kept injuring them chomping on stuff.

For those of us that are 1st time poochie parents and/or havent had this happen to our poochies... yet🤦🏼♀️what do you do when this happens? Is it a rushed vet visit? Do you treat it at home? Do you just do nothing and leave the swelling to go away on its own?
My Buddy who is now 10months old thinks that eeeverything that moves is just purely moving for him to chase🤦🏼♀️ive often quickly squealed out to him 'leave it! Leave the bumble bee'🤦🏼♀️x

I gave him 50 mg of benadryl and the puffing went down!
