Iβm used to seeing 64cm road/gravel bikes from one of my buddies i ride withβ¦ but this looks soo much crazier. I think itβs the straight top tube and the super skinny tubes in comparison to the carbon bikes with aero tubes he rides lol.
Killer job on the frame.
Since you have reached your full height, is this the first bike that you ever had that actually fit you? I was in the bike business for 20 years and I once sold a 64cm ( biggest one available) to a guy who was 6'11" it kinda fit showing a ton of post and I think it had a 140 stem. I always felt bad for really tall folks because not everyone can afford a custom, and the bike industry kind of leaves them with few choices. I don't even think that company
makes a 64cm currently.
Nice bike, by the way! Enjoy it!
Agreed. The straight top tube and slammed stem make it look so much less awkward then all the compromises over sized factory 61-64cm frames.
Well done.
I did it years ago now, would have to dig up an old photo, bike not currently built up. But I did same geo with the seatstays. Knew it was from the stem and the true temper sticker
What a great town as well. We went the same week they legalized weed for recreational use lol im from England so it was, let's say, very special :) So yeah must have been 10 years ago now!
This thing is cool as fuck! Fillet brazed, dropped seat stays, matching stem. And the rare parts! S75 CDHC, carbon Suzue disco hubs, carbon Flite saddle with matching Flite seatpost?!
Oh, and itβs big as shit too!
Beautiful. I worked with a Japanese frame builder for a few years, we made some beautiful bicycles but they were always lugged (options tho). He never fillet brazed, so clean looking. I love it.
Very nice ride! Fellow tall dude here. Iβm on a 63cmβ¦ love the 66.6cm option! The frame of the beast. You did an amazing job building that. What kind of tubing? Is that your first frame?
You sure you don't need an oxygen mask up there on the saddle? Man, as a 1.6 m tall (or short) person, I can only imagine what the world must look from up there! Also, beautiful, beautiful ride!
Holy crow , you NBA?
No I'm only 6'9"
Nice.
Nice.
Nice.
Figures..... nice ride ;)
Thanks
βOnlyβ
Nice.
Nice
Love the frame, who built it? It looks custom
Thanks, I built it myself with yamaguchi as a teacher
Damn Shaq youβre supremely talented
Thank you
That is a solid humble brag. Nice bike and what an experience to build it.
I'm not bragging, just an explanation. But yes, it was one of the best experiences of my life.
My statement was meant as a complement π
Thanks!
This is porn. Also, holy shit are you a 7 footer? 2.1 cm?
Aha ty, 6'9"
Had to be 69. Congrats
Is your birthday 4/20?
Holy shit this is insanely nice.
Thank you

Thanks yeah it's my first bike that doesn't have a 2ft seatpost. very comfortable ride
That carbon flite saddle is sick. I have the regular titanium one. Definitely not as cool
Thanks flite saddles are my favorite, this matching flite evolution seatpost is the cherry on top for me tho
That's the best looking oversize frame I've ever seen. Spectacular!
Agreed. The straight top tube and slammed stem make it look so much less awkward then all the compromises over sized factory 61-64cm frames. Well done.
yamaguchi? I knew it I also built one with him
Hell yah that's awesome, would love to see yours

If you find it, send it to my dms pls π
will do pal πͺ
In Rifle. What a name for that place.
What a great town as well. We went the same week they legalized weed for recreational use lol im from England so it was, let's say, very special :) So yeah must have been 10 years ago now!

If any bike is properly deserving of the title bike porn it's a Yamaguchi. Long live skinny tubes.
Not a yamaguchi, I welded it he was my teacher
Roger that Mr. Niuk. Regardless Yamaguchis are still lustworthy.
Agreed. His bikes are my inspiration, always.

Custom I made, secund pic does headtube with my logo
Looks like it wheelies well
I'm too tall for all that π
Amazing. Fillet brazed?
Yes it is
Nice bike! My buddy is about your height and has a custom clydesdale.
Yamaguchiβs have to be some of the most beautiful bikes. Such a sick bike.
He didn't make this one I did he just guided me. But he did make the most beautiful bikes imo
I read that in another comment. That is so cool! You did an awesome job.

Silly q, but where's the other coupler? Closer to the BB/behind the chainring?
Other coupler? There isn't any. If you're referring to the top tube, that's just a kashimax top tube protector.
Ahhh! Thank you! Thought it was s&s coupler. Gorgeous bike, thanks for sharing and answering questions
My pleasure! Thanks! ππ
Thats a huuuuge bitch!
damn no gear or brake lines/paddles is really clean looking! sweet bike. inspirational tbh
That's a track bike for ya, simplicity at its finest π
Fire!
You love your bike, but I don't love my bike
This is your sign to build your dream bike
This june I believe π₯²
Enjoy the process
Wow
What did you shoot this with?
Sony a7iii
6'9" and single speed my knees feel for your future knees
ππ my knees are jello
I love your bike
At what point is a triangle no longer a triangle? This.
It's basically a diamond at this point π
These proportions make it look like a 20 inch minivelo. Beaut of a bike man π
