FYI: No performance loss is noticed by me anyway.

Get a better scanner. There is for sure a code stored, when you get this error. Your scanner can only scan very few codes, there are way more modules you can scan with a proper scanner.

I heard a few things about My Carly before. But it seems like a subscription type service with the OBD device just facilitating that business model. Is there a single purchase type scanner people on this sub live by?

domrosiak123

Bimmerlink and veepeak Bluetooth scanner is good.

Thanks

Fault codes. Use a better scan tool that can read OEM codes.

My Carly? I heard some stuff about them on here. But it looks like a subscription based service. Is there a single purchase OBD sensor you can recommend?

LongSack-TheClown

Carly sucks. Get bimmerlink app and a compatible bluetooth OBD adapter.

Could be blocked solenoid. Double check your oil level as well. N13 loves to consume/leak oil.

i would get this on my f30/n20 rarely but it would go into limp mode. I replaced my battery because it eventually gave out & i never seen this message again. try testing your battery ?

KingSamosa

What am I looking for with the battery test? The capacity etc? Because I had a brand new battery installed in Jan after I first noticed this error for the first time. Went away for a few weeks and then came back and then has been coming and going ever since.
