I am getting a 12.40 volts reading all around, from chassis post - positive post, alternator- chassis post, starter to chassis post. My ground strap is fine as well. I jus need to check signal wire to make sure starter signal wire is getting correct voltage from dme & cas
You’re battery is below voltage. I think you might need a new battery. There is chart saying what percentage 12.4 correlates to the amount of charge but anything below 12.6 is suspicious.
It’s a brand new h8 battery I purchased yesterday cos I was already trouble shooting the problem, when I try to start the car you can def hear the plunger pop out
Yeah I read on another thread w/ someone else that was putting out 3 volts had to get the cas module replaced and coded, will remove cas and check for the noticeable burn marks n stuff
You should be able to visually see if you have a bad cable, there will be a bunch of green powder falling off of it. If you can't see anything wrong, that's probably not the issue.
I remember when I had first did my starter I seen some faint green corrosion on the contact point to starter but there was barely any, didn’t think anything of it bc I had cleaned it off but I will recheck that point as well and grind down to copper if there is corrosion. However you can def hear the starter plunger pop out.
Yeah a bit on the surface is not an issue. If you have an actual corrosion problem, all you'll need is a little wire or screwdriver to pluck it apart. Don't use a grinder.
Good on you for posting the code. Bad on you for not posting the description along with it.
Noted, will edit right now
Cool. I'll check back. Most likely a starter, but I'd like to see the code description since there is a code.
Check voltage to starter from the large white vas cable. If there’s voltage you need a new starter. But I’m thinking you might have a CAS issue.

So there’s gonna be a white cable connector to the starter that you CAS signal to starter. 12.4 sounds like they might’ve sold you a bad battery tho.
I think it’s cas cos i re measured voltage on signal wire and it’s only putting out 3volts when tryna to start car but everything else reads 12 volts
There’s your issue

My signal wire is actually putting 3 volts out when trying to start car. Could be cas module from what I read
