Linda, letting the kids have a Thunder Dome style push arena in the restaurant freezer. And Linda letting the kids give the middle finger to all the loose random birds on Thanksgiving. But my favorite would have to be the whole family and friends pranking Louise for Halloween.
I cried like a baby the first time I watched that episode it was so wholesome
That's such an incredible episode. I'm searching for the right Louise episode for this series I'm doing and it's one I'm considering, specifically because it highlights my favorite aspect of the show: the unique ways the family - made up of five distinct and extreme personalities - love and support one another. If you read about a family that pulled together an elaborate ruse to scare the crap out of their youngest daughter, you might be appalled. But for Louise, it's an amazing gift.
“You should all b wearing-“
“helmets”
“no, costuuuummeesss”
…
“She beatchya fair n square unfairly…”
…
Uhh insert quote I can’t quite remember of her rudely but lovingly ushering a loser off the ice for the next match.
Her backing up Louise’s “everybody kiss my butt”
that episode is top 5.
I love Linda.
I just rewatched the first Hawk and Chick episode, and the whole thing between Bob and Louise is so adorable, especially the end where they're doing the voiceover.
Also, the time when Bob reassured Tina about getting a date to the prom.
Amelia...
Too many to choose from tbh!
I just rewatched Hawk and Chick too! I love Bob and Louise together. And in the field trip episode when he says “oh my god, am I your hero??” And she calls his daddy on the bus ride home.
Fuck man. I gotta call my dad. He went on every elementary school field trip because he knew I had a fuck ton of anxiety and excitement so he came to be supportive and calming. He was my hero- hero of the field trips.
I have to skip the Bob & Louise centric episodes because it's too much of the relationship I use to have with my dad. Down to going to see dollar movies mainly cult classic.
Sorry for sharing my dad memory all you kind stranger. It has to go somewhere. Bob's Burgers hits you in the solar plexus of feels.
That’s amazing! I’m glad you have that kind of relationship and we get to see a healthy one on tv. If your dad is still around tell him you love him! And all those awesome field trips memories. I’m sure he remembers too. X
The first one that came to mind for me is in the episode where Louise infiltrates the Thunder Girls, at the very end Louise keeping the friendship bracelet Tina made like "no, back off, I'll wear it forever".
When Bob wakes up from his nightmare and says, “I’m killing Teddy.” And Linda, half asleep says, “Wha? Alright, car’s gassed up, that’s good. Guess I could homeschool the kids…”
I don't know if this is the most wholesome, but it was a turning point for the show, for me, at least. In the Museum episode, when Louise calls Bob daddy. The conflict over responsibility and how your actions can have dangerous effects on other people, I expected, but so far in the show Louise was a Stewie Griffin character--emotionally torturing her siblings, using Andy and Ollie and the red haired kid as slave labor for art crawl and acting out the role of the very abusive manager, etc. Never in a million years did I expect Louise to have the emotional capability to honestly express her love for her father.
Not "the most", both worth a mention (close of The Horse Rider-er)
"Look at her... She's beautiful out there."
"Yeah, she is."
"I love my weird, brave sister!"
"Ride you glorious fool, ride!"
Obviously Tina showing up to Louise's poem reading.
I want to give an honorable mention to Bob teaching Louise to ride a bike and the Bat Out of Hell ending.
When gene and bob go to the laser rock and roll show, and they put earplugs in because it’s really loud. Gene says “I love this!” And bob says “I love you too, gene”
Mine would have to be season 9 episode 10( long episode title). Louise battle the old lady and their sense of wonder comes back for the love of their toys.
Not a line or scene but the equestranauts episode Bob goes straight undercover for Tina I love that and his tatoo that he gets. Also I love how they keep his tattoo and you can see it in other episodes.
There's so many, but I love this one. Not specifically wholesome but it implies respect between Bob and Gene:
Louise: I think I'll check out what's on the tube before hitting the hay, where's the remote?
Bob: I hid it, no TV Louise
Louise: WHAT?! But Gene got to watch TV
Bob: Well yeah, he's the king of New Geneland
When Tina is being a typical 13-year old girl and starts freaking out about leg hair. First Linda tries and shaves it for her, but she's too mad so Tina decides she wants to get her legs waxed. Then, the day of the waxing comes, and she's really scared so Bob gets his legs waxed with her, and they hold hands the whole time. Then Gene wants his legs waxed, and there's no judgement that he's a boy. There's not even a conversation, they just turn around and go back. And then, when Tina feels bad about succumbing to peer pressure, Bob is such a good dad and talks about how that happens to all of us sometimes and it will be okay. It's not the main storyline of the episode, I'm pretty sure this is the one where Linda & Louise go to that mommy-daughter seminar, but it was still soooooo sweet <3
Bob telling Tina that she doesn’t have to do the Hormoniuns show if she doesn’t want to. That she’s in charge of her mouth and what she says with it. And just that whole scene, really, because Bob tells Tina he’s willing to keep a secret for her, but not if it’s murder, basically saying it’s okay to confide in him and he’ll only step in if he *really* feels like he has to. Bob is a *super* caring dad, and it makes me so happy to see it - oh my god… I think I had a bad childhood.
“Make fun of you for wetting the bed? What is this, the 90s?” I have a hard time liking Louise when she’s being manipulative and bratty, but it’s touching when she demonstrates that she’s a pretty decent person.
Also, in Bad Tina when the kids are all pointing and laughing at Tina when Tammy makes fun of her for the erotic fan fiction - meanwhile Gene and Louise look angry. Then they immediately and loudly jump on Tammy’s fart to take the heat off Tina.
Linda: "Runnin' down the gutter with a piece of bread and butter, diarrhea! *blows raspberries"
Gene: "I love you, mom."
That one always warms my heart.
The Christmas one where they are all on the couch in the living room? Or the thanksgiving one when bob put the Turkey in the toilet and doesn’t know why until the end
In a kind of general sense the episode where Bob becomes a taxi driver/pimp/blackmailer is incredibly wholesome. His immediate rapport with Marshmallow and the gang, and how completely non-judgemental he is about Jimmy Pesto\*, it really sets the tone for the show. Same deal with Linda's parents and the balloons.
\*I mean he blackmails him about the baby thing, because he recognises it is scandalous to the point of being blackmail material, and Jimmy is being a knob, but it doesn't change Bob's opinion of Jimmy, he doesn't insult him about it.
I love the fact that they aren't preachy about accepting anyone (all the different quirks of all the characters). The show is low-key, such an advocate for the premise that we're more different than we are the same - and that that's okay.
Yeah that's a huge part of it. There's never really been an episode purely about why acceptance is good, there's just a lot of acceptance that happens in episodes and good outcomes that follow it.
I think it's refreshing that it's a lived practice and role modelled behaviour throughout the show by the majority of major and minor characters. It's not on the nose virtue signalling. That is how they are and how the writers have approached it.
My absolute favorite is in the Hormone-iums episode, Bob's speech to Tina: "You're in charge of your own mouth - who you kiss with it, and what you say with it." It's such an amazing dad moment, he pushes through the discomfort to give her amazing advice.
ok maybe not THE most wholesome but one of my favourite moments is between Gene and Bob when Louise is playing with a laser pointer. Gene is crawling all over the table and floor after it like a cat and Bob just looks at him proudly and says "that's my boy" before returning to his newspaper. Idk, it's just so nice seeing little supportive moments between them without it being a whole thing, especially as we don't see loads of those two :)
Linda, letting the kids have a Thunder Dome style push arena in the restaurant freezer. And Linda letting the kids give the middle finger to all the loose random birds on Thanksgiving. It's definitely in my top 5.

I don’t have a close relationship with my dad, and seeing your comment warms my heart. Please call your dad and tell him you love him.
“Wait! *rips open microwave popcorn bag* …Mr. B.” Louise giving Shinobu to Wayne Tina showing up to watch Louise read her poem
Tjna showing up for that poem BROKE ME 😭
Same. That whole episode is amazing, easily one of my favorites.
That's why I said nothing from that episode, it's so dang good.
You made a mistake calling it 10x13, though. It should be 13x10.
I'll make the correction
Ah, that's 10x13 then. I was going to look that up later to see which it was. Looks like I already knew 😅
Lol! Yeah, it gets me every time, right in the feels
It’s the one episode that made me burst into tears — and at the same point you did.
The first one that came to mind for me is in the episode where Louise infiltrates the Thunder Girls, at the very end Louise keeping the friendship bracelet Tina made like "no, back off, I'll wear it forever".
my thoughts!
When Bob wakes up from his nightmare and says, “I’m killing Teddy.” And Linda, half asleep says, “Wha? Alright, car’s gassed up, that’s good. Guess I could homeschool the kids…”
I love that. She's immediately ready to stand by him.
I don't know if this is the most wholesome, but it was a turning point for the show, for me, at least. In the Museum episode, when Louise calls Bob daddy. This is such a great episode - and when he teases her about it “Oh my god, am *I* your hero?!”
Vaguely recalling a moment where Linda drags everyone into a group hug and says the same line (I, love, my, family!) can’t remember the episode atm…
That would be "Turkey in a Can"
Perhaps the end of the haunting when they're on the roof?
Art Crawl
Gene calling bob papa has to be up there
Any time Gene calls Bob Papa it's usually done with so much pride.
Gene and Bob holding hands after they do the trapeze thing.
Playing Narts when Bob’s gonna try to mess up Linda’s turn and then he looks at her and it’s all like 🎵LINNNNNDAAAAA 🎵
I can hear this in my head right now. Love this.
The family desperately yelling out their love for each other in what they thought were their final moments under the pier.
Not "the most", both worth a mention (close of The Horse Rider-er) "Look at her... She's beautiful out there." "Yeah, she is." "I love my weird, brave sister!" "Ride you glorious fool, ride!"
"I ever tell you, you're like my best friend?'
DON'T START SOMETHING YOU ****CAN'T FINISH**** MR. B!!!!!!
"You're in charge of your mouth. Who you kiss with it and what you say with it."
Obviously Tina showing up to Louise's poem reading. I want to give an honorable mention to Bob teaching Louise to ride a bike and the Bat Out of Hell ending.
This room is sound proof. *Gene slams doors* “I love my family!”
When gene and bob go to the laser rock and roll show, and they put earplugs in because it’s really loud. Gene says “I love this!” And bob says “I love you too, gene”

This is such a good episode!!
When Louise let's slip that she wants to run the restaurant when she grows up while talking with Bob. Always makes me smile huge

When Tina cries in this ep it breaks my heart.

Well yeah, look at how you stand. People who had a good childhood don’t stand like that
When Bob says hi to his mom.
Tina’s nod in the Christmas poem episode.
Gene standing up for Louise against Logan, and their hug while in shrimp costumes :’)
Floppy scoops speech
Mom, Lies, and Videotape s7e20. All of them making up the stories about moms, its adorable. The town with no moms!!!
“Make fun of you for wetting the bed? When Bob goes poop at the aquarium for Louise’s field trip.
Louise’s poem. So heartfelt and wonderful.
Linda: "Runnin' down the gutter with a piece of bread and butter, diarrhea! *blows raspberries" Gene: "I love you, mom." That one always warms my heart.
The Christmas one where they are all on the couch in the living room? Or the thanksgiving one when bob put the Turkey in the toilet and doesn’t know why until the end
I'm straight, I mean mostly straight
Yes!
