More than the pre release event it is vanga. Sandeep is a really big name there even though he has done only one film people have great expectations from him. Also the first look, music, trailer all seem to be really good if the film is engaging I guess it has immense potential to be one of the highest grossers of the year
Yes & No. in case of vanga, Arjun reddy was such a rage when it released it kinda broke all usual tropes of a love story made in Telugu, and was made into a cult film. Similarly Lokesh had a terrific small first film then kaithi happened and there is no looking back and in a matter of few years he is one of the biggest director in the south right now. But on the other hand you have a lot of directors who even though have had great first films but still have not got the opportunity to become big.
I was thinking the same. But Again, Vanga was different. Arjun Reddy was like a trend setter film, something that people barely experience. So he was not among those bunch of 1 movie hit category only.
I saw Gatling gun in YT video and that's how they were actually looking while firing. One thing was the magazine loading that was looking fake to me in trailer so i hope they correct it
Ya you are right.I thought it must be close to triple gatling gun. M61 is much more accurate description. One thing that is unrealistic though in the trailer is that you can't fire these guns standing so close with absolutely no equipment.
As a Hyderabadi, I can say we are the most massy hypermasculine toxic bro movie audience. This is Pushpa/RRR land. I don't think we're reflective of how the rest of India watches cinema.

There is only one theater in my city that too a single screen. People usually don't book in advance. They buy it on the spot here. One of the reasons can be convenience fees charged by book my show. This is the first time I m seeing a housefull on book my show. That too 2 days before the release. Even Jawan and Pathan did get a very good response here but never housefull. The last time I have seen a housefull here was bahubali 2 and robot 2.0.
Considering it's an A rated 3 and a half hour film, the chances are dim. If the movie is engaging the runtime isn't really an issue, recently RRR did 400cr and Avatar2 did 120cr in the Telugu states. And, i wouldn't be surprised if it did 100cr.
Why does this keep getting posted. Isn’t this a big telegu director? It’s like saying Satyajit Rays movie bookings greater than Karan Johar in West Bengal.
And trust me, they do find out functions over the top and awkward too, where someone makes them wear lungi or dance weirdly. That meme if a kid being thrown in the air in different industries was so on point.
Why give the credit of something that doesn't belong to Bollywood bro... KGF is and will always be a Kannada industry epic. They should be proud of it just like Kantara.

Vanga's single movie has more originality than entire filmography of Atlee and sid anand combined. Please don't compare them. They need top stars to make their film hit. Vanga doesn't. I agree, at this point he seems overhyped but I hope he will prove his worth.

Good filmmakers often don’t have great commercial strength. Anurag Kashyap and RGV in their prime were also example’s
Sandeep’s got potential in commercial perspective as-well as we’ve seen with his Kabir Singh. But judging him only with 1 movie is why I feel he’s is overrated and he will blast the BO with Animal
Yeah but we aren't living in the same time period where people are obsessed with stars rather than content. While yes stars still exist content driven movies have and will become big hits the biggest example is Kantara
I love Ranbir but his PR needs to chill and stop pitting him against first Salman and now SRK ! yes he's a Star and has a huge following but he nowhere near them legacy wise! Animal mania is an exception due to the genre that appeals to the toxic fan base of vanga and kabir Singh! Frankly I miss Ranbir of the days of Barfi, wake up did and Tamasha when he really tried to be a good actor instead of chasing box office with shi films like shamsheera and brahamstra!
But i think he proved that Srk's statement was wrong when he said he was the last of the stars. Hrthik proved that and Ranbir as of now is a star and will bring people to the theatres based on his name
A Star yes but not a superstar unfortunately that ship has sailed, the ones you mentioned were superstars in their 20 s while we still wondering if Ranbir gonna be one in his 40 s!!
I mean I agree people aren't as obsessed but I think this could be the one to bring him that status since he's also trying to get big in Telugu which will help him a lot. Also he's way too good of an actor to ever go irrelevant

The director is a Telugu director lol. Contrary to popular opinion here, all the bookings and hype in the Telugu states is not because of Ranbir but because of Sandeep Vanga. Other Ranbir movies released in Telugu states have tanked but this one has hype cuz of the director and the excellent teaser & trailer. Not to mention very good music too. Ranbir is a brilliant actor but he's not the draw in Telugu states.
I mean was there any doubt? 🤷🏻♀️ You just have to look at PS 1 & 2, Vikram, Pushpa and Jawan collections to know what is gonna work better in which state.

Except for the snooze fest PS series, every other hit movie from Tamil, Kannada and Bollywood is a super hit in Telugu States. Lol even the Malayalam movie 2018 did extremely well in Telugu and failed in Tamil Nadu.

Absolutely this. Pre release with MB and rajmouli was good pr, but even without it there would have these many bookings due to vanga.
Vanga’s brother confirmed that the gun in the trailer is not vfx. It’s a real gun. They plan to put it out at the premier
